Whatever this is, it's MINE
What happened to me anywhere, anytime, any day......
Uh oh....
I had to go to the hospital a few weeks ago to get it checked out, it was but just a TINY fracture in the middle of my wrist. I had to wear a splint for a few weeks. But around 2 weeks in, it started getting really itchy inside. sometimes I wouls stick the end of a plastic comb in to scratch it, and while I did I found lots of lumps on my skin o_o.

This may like, gross you out gonk don't read any farther unless you wanna know emo

So instead of going back to the hospital, I had to go to the Children's Hospital in Denver (I'm 14 whee ) We took the cast off, and well......

My left arm had lots of bubbles on it. My mom said it was from the heat inside my splint, seriously like 90% of the raised skin has bubbles full of liquid inside. The Nurse confirmed my suspicion, I had an allergic reaction to it emo

We got it X-rayed and I didn't really wanna go since my arm was all.... bleh. But the lady told me that she sees this stuff all the time, except my case was one of the worst. After getting X-rayed, since my reaction was so bad they couldn't decide wether to put a cast on me or not or **real quote

I'm not sure wether to put a cast on her or who knows what might appear under there

I was kinda embarrassed to hear that, so they got me a wrist splint insead. it was just the outside and a slip-on cotton tube thing to keep the cast from rubbing into my arm. It hurt to have it on, so as soon as I got home I took it off because it hurt my skin so much. My mom started putting all these different ointments on it hoping it would go away. I tried this aloe moisturizer (like that dang thing helped) and no luck. Some of them popped, oh dear god. I'm not going to tell any of you lest ye be hurrying off to the bathroom to puke, but since it itched and hurt so much I thought I'd look up some stuff online to see if I could treat it myself. I read through entire online skin dictionaries, and tried to look up some local dermatologists. Those people are REALLY hard to find mad literally neutral A week went by.

Then the worst-possible happened. I scratched my earlobe and kept on scrathcing it. It was so itchy and turned red. My god it spread to my face, and my right arm. My face was itchy, red, and my eyelids were swollen. MAJORLY BAD. My grandma boiled up some herbs in water and tried to wash my face and arms in it. I still wasn't wearing my wrist splint. It simply hurt. This went on for a week. My mom also told me I couldn't eat any beef, shrimp, tomatoes, chocolate. Oh great. She put it short and said I couldn't eat anything that had intense color fearing that my bubbles would turn that color o_o.

Back to the the Lutheran hospital. The lady who I first saw before was shocked this happened to me, joking that red just wasn't my color (pfffffft no duh xd ) and after filling in a few forms I had to sit down. This lady sitting a few seats away from me and across couldn't stop looking at my face, so after a bit she got up and moved to another seat. Gee, thanks lady. I got called in and instead of having to go through all these rooms to get a doctor they took me through a shortcut. The doctor asked me some questions about medication and stuff, and answering no to most of them she got a bit confused. Another nurse came and took me to another room, and I had to wear one of those gowns. I kept my pants on mad 2 doctors came in and told me that I still had to wear my splint, or else my wrist wouldnt' heal properly. Ok. A male doctor came in and I think I saw him wince at my arm, and he started wrapping a nice soft cotton bandage around my arm along with the "wear the splint or else it won't heal properly". He put my splint back on and told us that we could go. What about me crying Changing again we went to the pay desk, and the lady told us that I was to pick up a prescription with some tablets that would last me 2 days. 2 days?!?! She also told me I had to take an Aveeno bath. What's that? Giving us the bill we were shooed off crying

Off to King Soopers stare It was annoying though, I had to put my right hand up to my face and make myself look like I was tired so I had an excse to cover up my swollen face. We had to wait 10 minutes until the Pharmacy could ready my tablets, and we shopped. Bakc to the Pharmacy, I asked the counter lady what an "Aveeno bath" was. She told me it was this kind of oatmeal that I would pour into a bath that makes the water turn into a milky white that soothes skin. It sounded believable, so I asked her where it was. She said it was a box somewhere in the lotion aisle. We looked for another 10 minutes since my sister kept coming back at me with bath beads. I kept looking but there were only facial products left on the shelf.

I no longer trust those baths.
It made my rash worse.
But at least it worked for you. ^^
