I just got back from camp... I had the best time of my life! When we first got there, no one knew anyone else. We all sat alone and there was hardly and talking. As the weeks progressed, we began to come together as a team. We conquered the drill competition, and made alot of baffing, yet proud attitude checks. (Smart-a** songs)
Our daily schedual was tight, and hard going. We had to get up at 6 in the morning, get into our uniforms, and fall in for breakfast. At 7:25 after breakfast, we would fall back in. (The given time was used for barrack prep) Usually then, we would go to the classrooms and get classes, but sometimes we'd do something different. At 10:55 we'd fall in for lunch. At 11:55 we'd fall back in (After lunch) And go for more classes. At 4:55 We'd fall in for dinner. After dinner we usually had free time to work on our uniforms/polish our boots.
There were many different activities held at camp. The best one, in my opinion, was the Albert Head festival (For Christmas in July) There were games, music, and we got to paint staff cadets and throw officers in jail! Click here to see some pictures of the festival/painted staff cadets. ;D
The grad parade was the hardest part, because all our goodbyes had to be said. The admiral inspected us, a special treat from the sea cadets, and he was very impressed with our dress deportment. Click here to see some pictures from the grad parade.
There are different squadrons for different courses the cadets take. This year I was a lucky member of C squadron (Also know as Mcloud squadron) Which consisted of ITLC- C-7 Silver Dart flight (Introduction to leadership course... I was in there.) ITLC- C-8 Nieuport flight (Leadership course again) ITIC C-9- Black Maria flight (Introduction to instruction course. They won triple crown [Three awards for top flight, top sports, and top barracks.] :XP) And PERTC C-10- Shark flight (Phisical and Recreational training course.) There is no D squadon, but there is a D-11 flight. (Service band)
If you have any additional questions about my camp, then feel free to ask away.
