Prolixity runs a claw lightly along the faded sequence of words written in Ancient High Somnes. This isn't an iteration or combination he's ever seen before, and he frowns at it, mouthing the words and concentrating, trying to find their meaning and feeling so he can transliterate them into spell-words in English. "A'hi tekenr'i tek ate shii - atae shi - "
He pulls his consciousness out of the spell with a jolt as he feels the first echo and swirl of magic forming around him - he wasn't actually intending to cast, only to find the correct sequence. Since he has only read out a fragment, the energy is undirected and temporary, slipping through him and disspating. He's suddenly grateful for the Sarihe bloodline immunity to Dream-feedback; that would have hurt fairly badly without it.
His whole body tingles for a long moment, the feeling seeming to center in his scalp and fingertips and toes and tail - and he yelps softly in shock as the tingling of energies suddenly manifests itself in a sudden soft sensation around his neck and shoulders. A little grumpily, he pushes the newly-grown fall of hair out of his eyes. Well. That was inconvenient.
Teratus snickers from his perch on top of the bookcase. "Stuuuuu-pid," he singsongs.
"Shut up," Prox says, with no real anger in the admonition.
