Yuzi's Musings
Hmm...
<br>

So yeah, still in debt XD

I got a 100 on my med term test from last week. It was in, sit, 10mins, out. Hopefully this week's will be just as well. She moved everything up a bunch, so everyone's missing 5 days of study for each test. It sucks, but what can you do?

Im saving up for a new computer so I can resume playing Maple Story. Hopefully Dell doesnt decide to trash the awesome discount theyre currently applying to the system I want (34%!)

Specs:

YES, a 19 in flat panel. I still dont know how I managed to customize this computer with such a huge discount.

Im looking at atleast 1 1/2 months savings is not 2. It wont be so bad.

That's a nice rig, the flat panel alone is upwards of 300 bucks.

Maple story should run fine considering you probably have onboard graphics acceleration, since it didn't mention there was any graphics card. Not that's it's a bad thing, but my computer has onboard graphics and they suck =/

Still, I bought mine second hand, 1.3 Ghz and only 130 bucks o.o 3nodding

The graphics card in the future will need a boost and fast. Intel on-board is horrible. You wqill be able top play Maple Story...and some old games.

Comp isint to bad, killer deal on monitor though. Mcaffee isint worth your time as long as your fiance can stay off the porn and torrents.

All this tech talk makes me giddy...........it's like the last nail in the coffin for meh. I have a refurbished PC slow in some cases, fast in others. It runs about ABOUT 300megs

Just a little warning.

The Dell "Extreme Intel" graphics chip isn't powerful. In theory it should run Maple story but nothing too 3D.
Problem with a Dell Speced system is upgrading it can be problematic on some systems.
With some Dell motherboards it won't accept any components that didn't come from Dell,
With some Dell motherboards you can add any upgrades.
And with some others, they're just normal motherboards.

It's a great deal, but just be wary that it won't be upgradeable, and with the upgrade to Vista coming soon (End of this year) it's questionable if they're just getting rid of old stock to bring in new systems that are vista compatible. The Intel Celeron was created as a processor chip for mobile laptops, and thus can't furfill anything of Detail at any resonable speed, (this Might affect Maple Story), but Video editing or high end graphics or Flash will be painful at best.

All Vista Machines will need Graphics Cards that have power behind them to run DirectX 9.0C, as it's a process that is built into the new graphical interface of the Operating system. 9.0 Is what It ships with, By then we should see DirectX 10.0, Which means a new wave of Graphic Cards, Probably PCI - E, but ah well.
