Bio:
Merrick Aquila, the older brother of a sister that seems to have made quite a myth of herself, Pandora Samoketsu (her current name). The last few years he has been looking for her franticly, following the stories, the people and the words spoken about a vampire that wanders the world with powers greater then anything ever seen by human eyes. Thoese stories must have been about his sister, he prayed to the gods that they were.
But Merricks story start somewhere in the past, around the time when they were still a family living in beautifull Rome. 15b.c. Merrick take good care of these memories, making sure not to forget the names and looks of his brothers, father, sister and ofcourse his mother. A mother that died only two years after the birth of his little sister. He would never forget them, never. He was the third brother of five, beeing the constant middle child made him feel less important at home, but gave him a harder heart and bravery he needed to fight on, on his own.
One night, the night he decided to leave his family, he left a note to his father, saying that he would travel the world, in search for a wisdom that he couldnt find in a library tainted by personal taste and thoughts. He needed to experience and see the things told in the books. And so he did, before he left, he walked thru his home opening every door, taking a last look at everything before he could decide on if he wanted to leave. As he reached his brothers rooms he was extra carefull, looking in to their rooma just to see them sleep camly on their beds, the last room he reached was his little sisters. This room he did not simply walk by, she was around four at this time and he decide to give her a personal goodbye.
Pandora was sleeping as he kneeled by her bed, watching her in the dim light of the moon, he smiled and moved his fingers thru her hair. He kissed her cheek and gave her one last pledge. "My dear little sister, the only true woman in my life, I will remember you by heart and return to you once the time is right. I hope for you to never forget these words, may it be a memory or a dream that you remember from your childhood. Just know that I will be there for you." That night... he left. Merrick left with tears moving down his young untainted skin as he walked the streets of Rome for the last time.
His travels started calmly and took him to all the corners of Europe, at this time ofcourse the world wasent as pleasent and Merrick had to stop on his travels many times just to get used to his enviroment and learn from the experiences. On his travels, he searched for three things, knowledge, experience and the meaning of life. It was a deep subject but something inside told him that it was his call.
After many years studying the people of Europe and their slow evolution from barbarians to more civilised barbarians. He grew tired and traveled east. And he would not stop untill he had reached a place where he could feel alive and true to himself. Thru the middle east, learning of math and religion, he moved on to a place where he found a new kind of barbarian, but these where higly commited in their believes and lived gentle natured lives.
He had reached Japan, the year was around 1598 and the country lived by the rules of honour and had a hierarchy like something Merrick had never seen. They followed their principles blindly and he was emediatly inspired to become a samuraj himself. Ofcourse he needed a way to do this quickly, without beeing a soldier fighting in the simple masses of slaves and peasents. Merrick saw his chance as a battle raged below mount Fuji between the two last clans fighting for the power and shogunate of Japan. He was clever to quickly see what side was winning and ripped the armor of a dead samuraj to join the battle. Merrick killed onehundread and thirty men, cold hearted. I quote - "It was either them or me." Merrick was soon a samuraj under the direct command under the shogun, joining his private forces.
It was here that he learnt his skill with the sword, beeing trained by many of the best swordsmen that the world have ever seen. Merrick stayed in Japan for many years, saw how shoguns came and left, but he would never forget the day of his year as a Samuraj, when he was granted a gift from the shogun himself. A katana, decoretaded with the most beautiful art you could emagine, and the best possible weight and grip. Merrick accepted and have keept this weapon close ever since.
