It took a lot of beer to see the things that I perceive, The stench across the room never hid any from me, Other times were wasted by the sea of sympathy, The dreams were swallowed long before you heard the lines from me,
So sip the leveler, every neutralizing drop, And I will duck my head and be the boy long gave up, Simple little thoughts that turned to monsters in such eyes, You try to find the calmer, the one to neutralize,
The cries and all whimpers and the enablers as well, All confined as one in me and made me feel my hell, But who am I to wander there the little drug I'd sell, Be it me the one who gave dependant, here, his pill,
Long before the cops pulled up and long before the rain, Came the urge to follow you, the intrigue to contain, What was the gimmick, that gave the fire its fame? How is it I see you, even breathed you, just the same,
So in my proud accomplishments there was another one, The one who searched for reason tramping on the others fun
