The Mans Ghostly Maiden by: angel
One rainy night, a man walks home, alone and cold, when he sees a woman, whereing a black cloke, crying at the foot of a guilltine. The man, feeling sorry for her, went to her to help her. The man didnt see her face, but saw a black collar around her neck with a crystal rose, that sparkled in the light of the lightning. The man , fearing the maidens health, asked her to come with him to his home, and she agreed.

At the mans home, the he started a fire and sat with the maiden. He told her that she could remove her hood, so the he may see her face. When she removed her hood, the mans eyes fell apawn her face. She was a pail woman with deep blue eyes, and hair, as black as night. When he saw her face, his heart sored. Every second he was with her, his love for her grew. When she was tierd and about to sleep, the man asked for the maidens hand in marrage, she said this, "My love, I will, but to be wed to me, join me in the world of the dead....". The man, confused and scilent, watched his love drift to sleep.

The next morning, the man went to awaken his love, but didnt move nor breath. Scared he had lost her, he called the police, and begged for help. Later, when the police arrived, the man stood crying, as the officer stared at the maiden. Then, the officer turned to the man and said,"This maiden was killed many years ago." The man didnt belive the officer, so the officer removed her collar and the maidens head fell to the floor. The man screamed as he saw his loves head fall, and ran outside.

The man ran twards the device of death where he found his love and triped, getting his head stuck in the divices clutches. He struggled to get freed, but froze in fear when he saw death himself. Before he was beheaded, he screamed this,"I WILL FIND MY LOVE IN THE RELM OF THE DEAD!!!!".

To this day, the mans spirit still searches for his love, so the two of them would be wed....
