Homosexuality & Religion
I've been thinking quite a bit about why the Catholic religion and all the others (at least, that I know of) don't like or don't even touch the topic of homosexuality.

I've finally reached a conclusion. I'm not a religious person, I'm not part of any of them and never will be; but one thing is true: religion always has some kind of meaning in itself. For example, the Catholic religion appeared in a time in which society was suffering many changes; with this new religion people could hold onto something and get over problems. So, why in the seven hells does Catholic religion forbid homosexual relationships?

The answer is quite simple. Each homosexual pairing means less children, and if religion hadn't insisted so much in the "rightfullness" of loving someone of the opposite sex, there would surely be many more homosexual relationships 'cause nobody would even question if it's right or wrong...as a result, there would be less children.

I don't know if this is what really would have happened if the "homosexuality problem" had never existed, but thanks to religion we won't find the answer for a looong time --as long as it takes society to get rid of the morals religion implanted.

---And I didn't meant to insult homosexuality or anything like that; I just wanted to see the answer to my question from the Church's point of view.

Constructive comments are very welcome. heart
