Daemion leaned against the wall of the room. It looked more like a cell to him. It was small & dark like a castle room, just big enough for a bed, some minor furniture, & some other stuff. No windows. Daemion's dark blue eyes twitched just as the large oak door opened. "Making yourself comfortable?" came Kioshi's voice. The tone was far from friendly. "Hard to say I could." came the equally-toned reply. They stared at each other as an unforgotten fire of past bitterness flared between them. "Well there's obviously something your here for so spit it out." Daemion sneered. "Still observant, aren't you?" "Only when you're around to piss off." Daemion was about to retailiate to that, but thought it was best to start explaining. The sooner that was done, the sooner he could get out. He had better things to do than to wage an age old rivelry. "We got a situation: there has been some demon activity that, unfortunatly, requires your expertise." "Last I checked I wasn't a part of the Committee, or even, for that matter, on the "good guys" list. So why should I agree to this?" Daemion fingered the brouch that kept his snow white cloak around his shoulders. It was like a sign of his rank: the battle gear of God. It helped him remember his duties when his pride or anger began blinding it from him. He forced a smile onto his face. "Come now, Kioshi, you were once one of our greatest warriors. Why wouldn't we need your help?" Kioshi crossed his arms across his chest & leaned his back against the wall. "If my help was still required so bad than why was I banished?" "You broke the rules & betrayed your friends & kind to protect them!" the other angel was starting to lose his patience. Kioshi seemed unfazed. "Isn't that your job to begin with? To protect the humans?" Daemion's face was turning red from anger. "I do my job. The right way! Not by becoming a back-stabbing-..." "Not that its not fun listening to you ranting about your opinions, but I'm still not convinced." Kioshi's voice had a deathly calmness to it now. Daemion clenched his teeth & fists to cool his anger. After a moment he relaxed & a cold smile spread across his face. One that brought a chill down Kioshi's spine. He narrowed his eyes in suspicion at him. His old comrade walked over next to him & touched the cold, stone wall at his left, nat far from the door. "Nice place you got here. It is breaking a lot of rules though. Set in an unauthorized void, unauthorized fights between species & beings, interaction between species & beings..." "What can I say? I am a rebel." Kioshi was still staring hard at him. ||Where is he going with this?|| "Indeed.... but these rules have been overlooked for quite sometime." A vein in Kioshi's neck started to twitch from his elevating rage. "No. You're just too busy sitting on your lazy asses to do anything." Daemion growled. "Nonetheless, that could change." Kioshi shrugged. "I can always make a new one." "Yes... but what about the residences? Can you replace them?" The twitch quickened. "& that is refering to...." "Well let us see... a few gifted humans - probably unrighteously gained -, quite a few demons, another angel, a few vampires.... it is bad enough that they are encountering with each other freely. Turning a blind eye to the rules. Renegades. All seem liable to be put to dea-" His back was slammed into the opposite wall, knocking the breath out of him. Kioshi's hand was wrapped tight around his neck with his feet suspending above the ground. His aura was ripplings unevenly off his form, gently ruffling his hair & attire a white fire was flaring in his eyes. "Don't forget Seraphim... you might be higher rank but I can still tear you to pieces...." Daemion grabbed Kioshi's forearm & tried to tilt his head back to talk, not to mention breath. "Do that & you'll have to deal with His wrath." "You still aren't stupid enough." "That is up to you, my friend." Daemion choked back. Kioshi let out a deep-throated growl as he debated whether or not to rip Daemion's head clear off his shoulders. He finally shoved the angel's windpipe intothe wall & let him go. Daemion crumpled to the floor & began coughing in air. Kioshi looked over him with a death glare. His fists shook fiercly at his side.
ninja ninja ninja
Zaira round-house kicked an ice orb away from her, shattering it, & charged forward. Sotaru blocked her incoming punch & jumped into the air at 12 feet. Before gravity pulled him back down, he threw some needles at her. They were rigged with bombs. Zaira jumped to the side just as they exploded beside her. She made a shield to protect her from the flying debri. Sotaru appeared out of no where on the other side her & brought his ninja-to down on her. Zaira swung her shield around & the blade sliced through it. Sotaru swung it sideways. Zaira ducked, caught his wrist, & kicked his feet from under him. Her expression darkened. ||That was way too easy...|| Her eyes widened as Sotaru hit the ground & burst into water. A clone. She'd been fighting a clone this whole time! Frantic now, she turned away from the water & stared around for the shinobi master. She had to find him. With her attention diverted, the puddle creeped up her leg. Zaira jumped & stared at it with surprise. She tried pulling away from it but her feet were pinned to the gorund. A strnad of water continued to creep up her body & straped itself aroudn her neck. The water collar grew tighter & tighter around her throat until her breathing was completely cut off. She frantically clawed at the collar, but the water reached out & straped her hands together. Sotaru emerged from the shadows with his ninja-to still drawn. He pointed it at the woman's forehead, who was now on her knees & turning a slight shade of violet. Choppy choking sounds erupted from her throat as she tried to suck in air into her shriveling lungs. "When in a battle you must be able to observe your opponent at first glance. Percieve their moves, the way manner in which they attack, & always be prepared for the unexpected. Don't leave yourself ungaurded. Have a back-up plan, think ahead." The water fell off her & Zaira collapsed onto the floor, inhaling as much air as her lungs could hold. The real Sotaru wasn't on the training grounds, but in his room below the actual arena. The training ground Zaira was in resided in his lair he had made. He was surrounded by screens. Each portrayed an image of different places in the arena. One showed the battle, which he lazily watched from time to time to see how his clones & Zaira were doing. Another showed, in order from bottom to top, Kakairo, Rem, Taronis, & Aergan with their ears to a door in a torch-lit corridor. Inside the room, Kioshi was catching up on old times with an "old friend". This was the screen Sotaru was more attentive too. The ninja sipped his sake as he stared at the events playing on the screen. It interested him, yet irritated him, as well, to know that his inventions were on the brink of being destroyed. Usually, he wouldn't mix with other affairs. But in cases like this he was very intrigued. The shinobi smiled. This could be fun. He got up from his chair & started to skim his shelves of weapons, books, experiment tubes & containers, vails of various & questionable liquids, & cages of never before seen or heard creatures. ||Zaira!|| Zaira jumped & looked up at the Sotaru-clone in front of her, only to see it burst into water like the last one. She slapped the floor in anger, mad at herself for falling for another clone trick. ||Yes?|| ||We have a situation. Meet me in the corridor with the dorms.|| ||I'm on my way.|| She sighed & got her stuff organized before heading towards the exit at a run, leaving her a blur to the normal eyes. Sotaru grabbed a few vails, some small weapons, one unidentifiable one, stored each somewhere in his attire, pulled a mask over his face, & walked out.
