So my trip to Illinois I took a couple weeks ago was fun. It started out, early in the morning that saturday we left. We woke up real early, and left for the hour drive to Nashville. We managed to get to the airport two hours early, and flew through security. To be honest, before the whole ordeal I pictured this complete strip down search. But it wasn't really a big deal at all.
The plane ride was about an hour to St louis. We were flying there, then waiting an hour or so to go on another flight to Chicago. While my girlfriend and I waited. We ate pretzels at this insanely high priced food shop in the airport.
Flying was no big deal at all. I could barely tell I was in the air most of the time. But both flights, I got a window seat to look at the landscape regardless. Anyways, after our flight from St louis to Nashville. We landed about 15 minutes early, and got our luggage pretty quickly.
Though we still had to wait for about an hour for our ride to pick us up. Which happened to be my good friend, Jacob and Alex. They were picking us up in Jacobs mom's minivan. So we got to take the four hour ride south to my hometown in minivan style!
We stopped along the way to eat. Because well, we really hadn't eaten all day. We managed to get to my house at around midnight. Were I finally got to see my parents again after being away for over a year. Jacob and Alex left, and I sat around talking with my family before falling asleep.
The rest of the week went by pretty quickly. I had a family dinner with long lost relatives that sunday. I hung out with my friends nearly every evening. Julia and I spent afternoons together doing this and that. Mostly, we spent our time at Fun city over in Burlington. It's a cool place with arcades, and all that.
The convention was soon upon us. It was insanely fast, and in a way depressing. For the convention signaled the end of my vacation. How bittersweet it was! Now, onto all those lovely pictures...
BWAHAHAHAHA that is all you get for now! That was taken friday, the first day of the con. I'm wearing my Gaia stuff, while Jacob behind my is Pika-Slut.
Why am I cutting off the pictures here? Well, people are hovering around me like crazy. So I can't think straight. It's annoying really, anyways expect another entry soon.
