The Accident
So yes, as many of you may know, I got into an accident last Saturday. One of the first accidents I've ever been in, I wish I could say the last but with car accidents happening at least every 10 seconds in the world: it seems highly unlikely.

But anyway, I wanted to wait a little while before I posted this so that I could let emotional ties with the recentness of the accident keep from biasing my views as well as have me leave out vital information, angry rants, anything you guys would like to avoid I'm sure. So let us jump into it k?

So I remember thinking after it happened: When I woke up this morning, I thought today would be normal. Why the hell did my car have to go and crash with someone else's? And I promise you the whole thing happened so fast, I don't know what was going through my mind exactly when it happened. Well actually, I do, but you'll laugh at me for it. But that I'll tell you at another time.

But honestly, I got up that morning and it was generally a normal day. We did our chores all day so when my stepmom got home she could take us shopping for a couple new shirts for winter. No biggie really... But truth be told that whole time I scuttling around that day you think I had the faintest idea our car was going to collide with some other lady? Hellz no. And that's the scariest part. Keep that in mind.

So anywho, the baby shower my folks went to: sucked. I mean, if you can even CALL it a baby shower anyway. And my dad was a little hungry. So after feeding my baby brother my stepmom grabbed her keys and ushered us right out the door to go shirt shopping. Maybe we shouldn't have rushed...

It was kind of nice shopping, though on all normalities I really despise buying new clothes. Finding crap in my size is generally such a work out in itself. Honestly... But that makes no difference really. So yes, I bought a red and white sweater, a striped blouse, and a black turtleneck that day, and my sister and stepmom did shopping of their own. Then we loaded our crud in the back of the car and jumped in. We were still in a hurry I guess.

My stepmom told me to call my dad. My minutes were low, but I called him anyway. We had to ask him if he had any sugar for the morning. It was getting late and we couldn't go grocery shopping or risk being home and done to eat by at least 8. So we decided we'd rush in, grab the sugar, and food from Buger King and call it a night. We'd do the groceries in the morning... Just wasn't worth it...

So we're on this dreadful road, Stewart's Mill, barely a mile or so from where I live I guess... Anywayz, there is a little subdivision there right smack dab in the middle of the road so that anyone who lives there has to stop, cut traffic, and turn. No lights. Really dangerous. Awfully stupid.

So I was on the phone with my dad when it happened. All of us had our seatbelts on. I can tell you what happened. There was a car turning into that stupid subdivision and the woman in front of us makes a rather abrupt stop. Next thing I know we couldn't stop in time and: BAM.

Now from what I remember, being in the back seat on the passenger side is pretty much little compared to my stepmom or my sister I'm sure. I was talking to my dad, absent-mindedly peeking forward when I saw the glow of the red brake lights of the car in front of us. Next thing I know, my head goes colliding with the passenger's headrest. Absolutely wonderful feeling I assure you.

So the phone goes flying out of my hand. What was going through my mind when it happened? I'll tell you what: So, do I scream? And what did I do? Let out a pathetic yelp that sounded like little more than what you do if a big dog comes after you. Seriously... Not to mention it was probably a few seconds too late, but everyone was so incoherent with the crash no one noticed.

First thing I worried about was the phone. I just knew my dad heard that little pathetic yelp of mine and wondered what happened. So I dropped to my knees and started searching for it. In the end, my dad had no idea we had an accident, somehow the phone had hung up (probably him) and we had to call back and tell him. At least my minutes held up to call him.

A few very nice men came and as one of the directed traffic, another walked back and forth to make sure everything was ok. I was freaked, and had a headache, but overall I hadn't even cried yet. Everyone else was panicky, you could tell. And somehow I managed to be the heartless one again. Great...

My stepmom was really worried about the lady we hit. The man told us she was dizzy and in shock, but aside from a "lower back pain" problem, she was fine and was calling her husband. I don't know if I truly believe if that lady was hurt. I swore I saw her standing up mere moments before the ambulance picked her up.

Anyway, so our car got most of the damage. In truth, I doubt you can call what that woman got damage. Her back bumper... I don't know, ripped partially off? I have no idea, but her light wasn't even cracked so it doesn't matter. Our whole front end was totaled. But the air bags didn't go off!

So yeah, that's about all I really feel like typing... Any questions, do ask. If I want to add more later, I will, because there's more.

sad I'm sorry. My friend got into a car accident three weeks ago and came to school the next day. (Even though she was suppose to be in rehab.) Thankfully, she's almost healed.

I hope you feel better soon!
