A friend of mine died the other night. His name was Isaac Rodreguiez, and while we wern't terribly close, it's still been hard. I'm going to miss arguing with him about why his girlfriend gets jealous when he looks at another girl, but his car doesn't seem to care. sad It really hurts to loose somebody, but what hurts more is wondering about everyone else who is crying for him. His parents, his fiancee, his close friends. I barely knew him...he was my boyfriends boss, but I tell ya, he was one of the coolest bosses around. All the little things he did that always meant alot to us, seem like they mean so much more now...I barly knew him, but it hurts so bad. I'm amazed.
I want to send my sorrows out to anybody else who has lost a friend, no matter how distant, and to urge people to NEVER drive drunk. It doesn't matter how it effects you, but how it effects the person you run over. Poor Isaac was sitting at the side of a high way after his corvette broke down, waiting for his family to come pick him up, when some drunk jack a** in a Jeep ran OVER the passenger side of his car. The death hardly seems worth it. My friend Christian, who was the co-owner of Isaac's game store, spoke to the preist who did the blessing. The preist said that Isaac looked peaceful, and almost happy. He only had a scratch on his forehead.
I have a url for a clip of some news coverage of the crash, if anyone's morbid intrests are getting the best of them at this point - I really won't be offended. I wish I could direct you to something better, but this is the only coverage so far. He hasn't even been in the paper.
