My championship game


It was a hot summer day in June. I was going to pitch in our softball championship game. I was so nervous seeing all the people in the stands. Was I going to do well? It was all up to me.
The championship was here! It was the rainbow warriors against my team, team extreme, We were playing *********************. We were about to start. We got on the field and took our places on the field. The first pitch was hit by Taylor Mendez; she smacked the ball out to right field, giving her single. The next three batters got out.
It was our turn up to bat. First batter got on for a single. I was feeling goods far about this game. Courtney was up next she hit a double scoring Dana home. We went on the field happy because we were winning. It was their turn to shine. They scored three runs making us down by two.
It was the fifth inning. we were still leading this game. Could we hang on until victory? Their turn to bat they scored one, later the inning was over. They were leading by two. I felt like this game was soon coming to a end.
It was the sixth inning now. The rainbow warriors were ahead. How could we let this happen? It was my turn to bat, I felt so nervous because we needed some runs and I felt like I couldn’t do it. I was wrong I hit a double scoring Sierra and Courtney. At the end of that inning we were up by one.
It was the last inning. The score was six to seven us! They were last at batting so they had to score two runs to win the game. A girl named lali was at third base close to score, there was also a girl at second base. The catcher was throwing the ball back to me and lali thought she could score so she was running home and we got her into a pickle and eventually she got out. If she had scored they would’ve won! that’s was the end of the game. I could hardly believe we won! Our whole team was screaming while the other team was crying in shame of their loss.
M coach Larry called me, Sierra, and Courtney over and he said good job! Ha gave each of us a game ball so we can remember how much fun we had. Then he called the whole team over and said I promised you guys a pizza party if you guys won and you guys won so I am treating you to Mountain Mike’s to celebrate.
I will never forget this day and moment I was so happy. I always wanted to be in the championship game and finally my wish came true! I learned that it will take patience to get where you want to go, and play your heart out no matter what ,even if you win or lose.
