It had been a week since the ABC had switched bodies and we were still waiting on Dragon to return. During that time, the monkey who could speak dragon language--his name was Sini Nini--had been staying with us the whole time yet remained quiet on his knowlege of our language. Also, the Shadow demon had returned but it was weakened and scared of Shalimar. She's adopted it and has named it Shaddox.
"Where are you going?" Nerissa's hologram asked me as I reached for the handle of the front door. It was three am.
"Patrol," I replied.
"Before the issue arose," Nerissa said, referring to the fact that Ikkit was currently unable to work on her, "my security levels were heightened to maximum potency."
"Something is still bugging me," I replied. "I've already told the ABC's and Shal's Gwees to stay put but they're feeling it too."
"What are you sensing?" Nerisa asked, as I reached through her and opened the door.
"Trouble," I replied, exiting the house. "Keep Shal inside at all costs."
Transforming into my
dragon form I quietly slipped over the ground to the edge of Nerissa's bio net. It was the same place where Shal had fought that b*****d Lexius. Scanning the area I tried to locate the source of what was bothering me.
"I will only come out if you pick another form!"
Growling, I scanned again; this time searching for the source of the voice. Even in pitch black, my dragon form allowed me to view the night landscape as though it was bathed in sunlight yet I still saw nothing. Lifting my snout into the air, I scented the air but caught no scent--which wasn't surprising since the wind was blowing against my back.
"Again! I will only come out if you pick another form!"
Growling, I contiplated the pros and cons. The biggest plus was I could find out who was the owner of the voice and if they were the source of what was bugging me. The biggest negative was that in my dragon form I can easily deflect about 90% of all attacks just by letting them bounce of my scale armor without using any spells. Indecisive, I slammed my tail against the ground in fustration.
"One last chance! I will only come out if you pick another form!"
