Ah, same processor that I'm using.

I made my own computer. I ordered the parts and put it all together at my house. I'm not really sure what you're looking for your computer to do, though. If you want to play games, go with a better video card with more Vram.

Oh, and that was me by the way. If you want any help with selecting a computer, I suppose we could PM each other or use your journal's comments. I'm not a genius on the matter, but I'm pretty darn good nevertheless.

EDIT: Oh, and I didn't read the first part about what you wanted to use it for. sweatdrop

I actually think that's fine if you don't plan on doing any heavy-duty video card heavy games like Oblivion.

No, nothing like that XD

I dont think we'll be playing any games that require subscription or heavy duty graphics.

4laugh heart i'm not too fond of dell domokun but for people that do really need it, it's a good price. 3nodding buuuuuuuuuuuuuut it's better to build on your own 3nodding anyway, what you chose so far from the dell, it's a pretty decent price for what you're getting. you just have to make sure you've got protection. avg. ad-aware. spy-bot. i stabbed mcafee and took a dump on norton. the vid card is nice. nvidia > ati. processing power and ram size is great. overall price and stats are great for what you're going to use it for. 3nodding buuuuuuuuuuuut i would take my time in looking around for a pc. but dell would be your best bet for the time being biggrin yes yes and i shall see you around rofl

That's a very good specification - For what you want the machine to do, that's going to be a complete walk in the park.

Even if you're not going to be upgrading to Vista however, i'm not sure if this is just with laptops or if this applies to desktop PCs aswell, but Microsoft will be offering a redemption offer on their site. Should you buy a PC within the next couple of months you'll be eligible for a free upgrade to Vista anyway with Media Center.

I only work in the laptop market however, i'm out of the loop with desktop machines, so take what i've just said with a pinch of salt.
