i wonder what it would be like to be bilingual. to be fluent in another language or several different languages would be really cool. i'm currently taking my 3rd year of spanish at school and i'm no where near fluent in that. lol 3 yrs and i still haven't learned anything. lol well, i've learned something. i mean, that's an exaggeration...but...oh, u kno what i mean. well, i was thinking...for ppl who don't speak english....do they think in a different language? what would it be like to think in a different language? my parents are bilingual. so i asked them, "do u think in Igbo sometimes?" igbo is my native language. it's pronounced ee-bo w/ a long "o" and a silent "g". my mom said that when she's talking to someone in igbo she thinks in igbo and my dad just shrugged and said depends on what he's thinking about...i wasn't sure what that meant and it didn't really answer my question so i told him what my mom said and he agreed w/ her. so here's my question...for those of u that r bilingual...do u think in a language other than english sometimes?
