MY POEMS AND SHORT STORIES!
Shou and Mayu
As a blonde man walked into the temple, he began to think of the things he should confess to the gods for. There was really nothing to confess for except for him killing the cute animals and other human beings, but that was what the gods have made him. A warrior.

He went to the temples to ask for help. Poor Shou was confused, and he felt that the gods would help him. He kneeled on one knee majestically, and bowed his head low. "O mighty gods... please clear my state of confusion..." He then silently began to confess his thoughts.

A young miko walked into the room holding a bowl of water and a cloth. Her long green hair seemed to take over morst of her face, but from what you could see, she looked sad. Her feet echoed a hollow unjoyful sound as they hit the floor of the temple. As she looked around, her blue eyes looked empty and uncertain as if to say nothing at all. Mayu walked into the room that Shou was in and dropped the bowl in surpise to see someone there. The bowl hit the floor and smashed into peices.

The man quickly around quickly at the direction of the crashing sound. He looked to see that there was a girl standing in surprise. Perhaps he should have knocked when he came inside. Shou didn't know that someone lived here. To assure the girl that he wasn't a theif or anything of that sort, he apologized for intruding and introduced himself, "I am Shou Kamenashi, of the light tribe. Please forgive me for trespassing."

He walked up to where the girl had dropped her bowl, and began picking up the pieces. He chuckled a little and said, "Cleaning is a bit of a habit of mine... allow me to help."

Mayu looked at the stranger and then nodded. She then kneeled down and started picking up the peices herself. She pushed her hair out of her face showing two bright blue eyes. She then went to grab a peice of the bowl and cut the side of her finger. She winced then put her finger in her mouth of a moment before comtinuing her task.

"Ah -- allow me..." murmured Shou as he ripped off a piece of his flowing navy-blue cape, and wrapped her wounded finger around with it. He smiled, and then commented, "You have very beautiful blue eyes..." His own ocean-blue eyes looked into hers with kindness.

He placed the pieces carefully in his cupped hands, and asked, "Where do I put them?"

Mayu looked at shou and a slight hint of embarressement hit her cheeks, but as soon as it had came it was gone. She looked away then got up, as she wipped the dirt off her white dress. "Thank you, " She whispered as she went and fetched a container " You can put them in here." Her voice sounded so cold and harsh.
He was a bit surprised from her reaction, but he put the pieces in the container. Maybe it was a bad move to compliment her that freely. Perhaps she thought of it as a cold joke. In any case, Shou felt a bit embarrassed and ashamed himself, but he smiled and hoped to make an attempt at being nice to her again.

"So... what do you do around here?" he asked softly. He shifted a bit uncomfortably as he stared up to the large fantastic figure of one of the gods.
Mayu walked over ot one of the statues and placed the container onto a stool then looked back at Shou. Most people that came around here, didn't even talk to her yet he did and he helped her. Mayu looked down at her hand and made a fist. She then moved closer to him, then moved away, turning her back to him.
" Help and heal the wounded," She said looking back at her hand "..But I can't even do that to myself."

Her hair went back in her face as she looked back at him.
Shou looked at, what it seemed, to be a disappointed expression. He couldn't tell with her long hair masking her face, so he assumed by her gesture and position, that she was indeed disappointed. With his kind smile he then replied, "It takes practice, don't be so disappointed."

She tilted her head as she looked at seemed to be what people called a smile and her hair slowly slipped away until her eyes showed again. They looked empty without any emotion, she looked dead. She had never head such kindness from anyone before, it all was so new to her. She slowly moved toward Shou with an emotionless expression on her face. She looked down at her shoeless feet, watching them slide across the temples floor toward someone she didn't know. They had cuts and bruses on them form her long walk here. She stopped a few meters away from him and lifted her eyes. " I need to get the hang of it right now," She said in what seemed to be a emotional voice yet her face showed nothing "People will die if I don't do anything, And I can't do anything!"

Shou, not realizing how serious she was, had his smile faded into sympathy. Her shine-less eyes and beaten feet just made something... somewhere in his heart wrench with sadness. His hand began to raise towards her, he faulted a bit, but then he finally placed his hand upon her shoulder and then gently brushed her hair away from her face.

Taking another look into her emotionless eyes. His heart wrenched just a bit more. Something about her made her look so empty. So lonely. He then finally had the guts to ask, "Does someone take care of you?" He prayed that she said yes, just so his heart would be that much lighter with hope.

Mayu winced as he touched her. No one had ever shown her any kind of what people called sympathy. They always threw her out or slammed the door in her face, leaving her out in the cold with no food or water, and to face the horrifying world alone. What looked to be a tear fell down from her face removing the dirt and grim from its tracks, leaving a line of clean skin down her cheek. She then blinked back the rest that wanted to follow. "Yes," She said in a toneless voice." I have myself to take care of me."

"Yes.... I have myself to take care of me." Echoed her voice through Shou's mind. He felt his eyes glitter with tears, but instead of letting them flow free, he wiped Mayu's tear stain first. He then gently put his arms around her, and they hugged. This was an unconsious move he made, as a silent tear trickled down his own face. Unloved, he could tell, from her emotionless voice and eyes. He could not imagine anyone else to be as sad as this girl.

Something told him that he wanted to protect this girl from anymore sadness.

Her body flinched as he touched her face, and then agian as he hugged her. She was never in her life shown any emotions from anyone that took her in but through her out the nest day, yet this complete stranger, has helped her, talked to her, and now he was hugging her. His sympathy was triggering something in her heart she didn't understand. As he hugged her, she stayed completely still in his arms, like a china doll. She moved her head to the side to look at him then lifted her arms and hugged him back.
