My friend has just told me that he has decided that when he goes away to the Solomons with the Army next year, that he'll then apply for a deployment position with a service period of 4 years.
And if he likes it, he might stay even longer.
So I've lost my friend for a minimum of 4.5 years.
I don't know how to feel yet, I guess it just hasn't sunken in yet properly.
I think I miss him already. ;_;
