We were attacked last night by a group of trolls. Although stupid, trolls are very strong and quite annoying to battle with...There were three of them, they all looked full grown, meaning they were at their peak in strength. The first one was easily slain, but the other two semed to have more experience in fighting. Daraunde broke his left arm after trying to charge and skewer one through his rib cage, which is the weakest part of a troll. But the thing grabbed his sword and threw him back into a tree. I looked around for Lunethia but she was nowhere to be found.
After killing one of the two I ran towards what I thought was running water, the last one right behind me. I stopped and looked down at the dark mirky water, trying to see anything that might be lurking in it, but the troll blasted through the tree's and charged at me. I was taken by surprise so instead of trying to kill it I just ran out of the way. It fell into the water and immediately a pair of huge squid like tentacles grabbed at its' body and dragged it down into the depths of the river. After a few moments I stood from where I had landed and walked back to Daraunde. I found him sitting at the base of the tree...his face was pale and thick red blood lay in a puddle by his body. I called out his name and his eyes flittered open.
"Are you alright Daraunde??!"
"Yes..I umm....I think I broke my arm...it kind of hurts....." I laughed at his idiotic words and tried to look for something that we could set his arm in. Then I spotted Lunetia, she was behind a bush, whispering something in the manor that she does. little leaves and twigs were circling around her as she shivered.
"Lunethia...come here..." She obedientely walked towards me and I picked her up.
"I need help with Daraundes' arm...can you help me?" She looked up at me then down at Daraunde. I put her down and she slowly walked over towards him. She examined the blood and then his arm, then looked deeply into his eyes. After a few moments of silence she started to make odd whistling noises, her fingers started to glow and an unnatural wind flew around her tiny body. There was a blast of light, so I covered my eyes. When I lowered my arm I looked down at where Daraunde was sitting and smiled. He was standing, moving his fingers about and smiling deeply at Lunethia.
"My God....she has some sort of healing powers....I've never read about homonculi being able to do that..." He smiled back at me and picked her up. "Thank you Lunethia...thank you very much." She looked up at him and smiled, then dug her head into his chest.
