Well. Today was a bad day for me. Started off like any other normal Wednesday. I got up at 4:30 to shower and blah blah blah, put on my JROTC uniform and got in the car with my dad, not even remembering the large amount of snow we had gotten yesterday. I get to school at 5:50 a.m. and go inside to get to drill team practice at 6. So 6 o'clock came and went, and no Master Sergeant. One of our janitors came by and made the comment "Ole Master Sarge ain't here yet huh? We'll have to talk to him about that." And at this point I'm getting suspicious that something's up because, I'm the only person of 16-18 cadets that has shown up for drill practice. So at 6:30 my mom calls up "Where are you?"
"Well, I'm at the school. I showed up for drill team, and Nobody is here, even though Master Sergeant said we were going to have practice." i told her.
"Oh really? Well I was going to your room to tell you that there is a two hour delay."
"What!? Are you kidding me!? Well, can you come pick me up?"
"no! I will not go out in this weather, the news people are saying to stay home, so I'm staying home!"
"Come on! Please come get me? there was absolutely no Ice on the route me and dad take between the house and school, in fact, the roads were bone-dry!"
"No i will not pick you up. Ask again and you will be grounded."
So I was at school THREE HOURS BEFORE CLASS STARTED.
I was absolutely LIVID!
To make matters worse, all the kids in JROTC were like "Ha your the dum*** who showed up to drill today!" and wouldn't leave me alone. AND my SNSI (Senior Naval Science Instructor) told us that we had a different lunch than what we were currently eating. We walked into class yesterday after eating on first lunch shift and he stopped us, "I don't know who told you guys you had 1st lunch, but you don't. So starting tomorrow, we will eat with our assigned lunch shift, 4th."
And this is after we had been in first shift for a week.
"I don't know who told you---" Nobody told us we didn't!! Even Master Sergeant thought we had 1st lunch shift!!
Man. I was sooo pissed it's not even funny...

(Slight explanation, my school runs a block schedule, we have four periods a day, each 1.5 hours. Except third period is 2 hours long, including four 30 minute lunch shifts. 1st shift goes from 2nd period to the cafeteria for thirty minutes, then to third period for 1.5 hours. 2nd shift goes to 3rd period for 30 minutes, then lunch for 30, then 3rd period for an hour, and so on.)

And to make matters worse, one of my friends had back surgery while all this was going on, so I had no one to make me feel better... She always greets me with a hug and a warm smile, and it makes me feel better, but she was gone!! Makes me sad... crying

So yeah. I've had a wonderful day today....
