Everyday, Father, Mother, and I ate breakfast. We were just talking about what we should do when I grow up as a king. I am a prince from Corsica. My uncle Samuel came in as usual, and broughtbread. He would a crackle laugh about the latest news.
“Good morning dear brother! Good morning Erica and dear nephew!” he says.
“Good morning dear Uncle Samuel!” We would reply.
“My God nephew! Your growing just like your father, but you have your mother beautiful blue eyes!”
“I know Uncle! You’ve been saying that ever since!” We laughed nonstop.
Few years later, on March 14, 1989. I was merely the age of 10. One night, while I was sleeping,Uncle Samuel came rushing in my room. He was out of breath, he took my hand and we ran down thecorridors. “Uncle where are you taking me! What’s going on!” I moaned.
“NOT NOW!” he spoke in such a harsh tone. I hesitated, I was scared as a cat. I just heard two gun shots! I was sweating, when I look in front of us. I saw Father and Mother lying on floor. Death hadalready approached them too soon. The killer ran away, he was swift. I never saw the man who killed myparents. I wanted to shout, scream, cry, but Uncle and I passed them. We had to keep on going. Someonewas after us, I’m sure of it!
Uncle and I ran away, we were at the sea. A speed boat was there. We fled away from Corsica.While we were sailing away, I could see the beautiful castle. It was rotting away with flames before my eyes. The home of mine was forever more… gone.
The waves of the sea grew rapidly, I yelled, “Some day Father and Mother I will find the Man who killed you and put him in the cemetery! Farewell my kingdom!”
Slowly I see the my kingdom and I depart.

Now, I was known as the “Exile Prince, Eric Denale.”
