"I think someone spotted us," Shalimar said, looking down at the river.From the riverbank over a mile away, a green alien had spotted the two hiding in the trees. Breaking away from the group it was with, the alien had been making its way towards them. Neither Shalimar or Wynn had ever seen an alien before; but considering they were dragons it was not too much of a issue. However, what did have the girls uncomfortable was that the alien was completely naked as all the humans.
"You two aren't supposed to be here," the alien said when he was in speaking range. "How did you get here?"
"Um," Shalimar replied. The naked humans didn't bother her or Wynn because every now and then there was a drunk Hunter or Slayer that thought they could kill dragons with naught on.
"Answer me!" the alien snarled, advancing closer to Shalimar and Wynn--who compensated by taking equal steps backward.
"Taomn!" someone called from behind the alien. "What have you found?"
Before Shalimar or Wynn could react, the alien grabbed the two by the backs of their necks and spun them around to face the speaker. "Something rather quite disturbing, Sperling."
Upon seeing Shalimar's and Wynn's hair and clothes, the naked bald man that had spoken lifted a spear and held it at Wynn's neck. "Who are you two. Why aren't you like the rest of us?"
"We don't know!" Wynn said. "One minute we're at home about to fight--"
"Invaders," Shalimar interrupted with a glance at Wynn. "And the next thing we know is we're here."
Glaring at the two girls for a moment, the man said, "Taomn, tie them up. I don't want them going anywhere tonight, I'll want to talk to them tomorrow morning."
"Of course," the alien said, jerking the two girls away. Using rope made from woven grass, he tied Shalimar and Wynn with their backs to a tree.
"When the others are asleep," Taomn said darkly, "I will be getting answers first from the two of you."
