In those youthful eyes of bright days
What was there to do but swing, swing away
The cement laid across with blinding heat
All we could do was swing, swing away
A juicebox sip and, lunchpail zip
We ran to the swing of low and high
Skid the sand and start our count
Running to the swing of low and high
Staring into the low hung sun
Reaching for an undreamed height
Cut the air so heavy
Living for an undreamed height
Here we are as the breeze runs cold
Our youth has escaped us in the fall of the leaves
Swinging higher than ever before
Our dreams have escaped us in the fall of the leaves
Heavy hearts lift higher than air
Breathe our whole life in
Set loose than let dare
Soak our whole life in
One last glipse of that above
Before I let go
Sweet dreams my life of love
For now I go
What was there to do but swing, swing away
The cement laid across with blinding heat
All we could do was swing, swing away
A juicebox sip and, lunchpail zip
We ran to the swing of low and high
Skid the sand and start our count
Running to the swing of low and high
Staring into the low hung sun
Reaching for an undreamed height
Cut the air so heavy
Living for an undreamed height
Here we are as the breeze runs cold
Our youth has escaped us in the fall of the leaves
Swinging higher than ever before
Our dreams have escaped us in the fall of the leaves
Heavy hearts lift higher than air
Breathe our whole life in
Set loose than let dare
Soak our whole life in
One last glipse of that above
Before I let go
Sweet dreams my life of love
For now I go
Youth and what's left.

I don't know what more I can say. This is a very moving poem.
