"Tracing is bad!!!" Yeah right, and I am a chicken...
I have noticed, that persons, who really try hard to become so called "self-taught" comic creators, are the once, who are the most against the clear tracing pictures from the paper.
I know, that everyone should draw from a model, not to be hardcore artist, but to REMEMBER what and how they draw it. Still, you may have some major anatomical failures there. or you may have some certain thing in human body, what you can't just sort out in your little head. There is one really simple way to learn so that next time you draw it almost automatically right: tracing (ouh, hoddigity!).
Tracing isn't evil tool to show, how incomplete you are to draw something or handle the whole picture itself being same time really correct in anatomically as well as physically. Tracing really helps you to understand the shapes, the wrinkles (ecspecially) and also it helps you to learn that what is and isn't important for the picture.
So next time, when you have nothing better to do, try that tr00s' forbidden fruit of tracing. You'll be amazed, how it ease you figure out things in human body. :3
