My mind slips ever closer to madness,
my heart has long since been dead.
Hatred consumes me,
and at the center of it all,
I sit with a blank expression,
reflecting the emptyness inside.
The blood on my hands is my own,
though soon it will be the blood of the innocent.
Their cries for mercy will fall upon deaf ears,
and no amount of pleading will change my blank expression,
as I look into their eyes,
and take their lives from them.
In their glistening dead eyes,
I see the reflection of my own,
dead as theirs,
but I am still alive.
