So, Julie and I have been hyped up about going to Naka-Kon for the last, I dunno, 80 days or so, and we were originally gonna go just me and her to the con with her mom and little sister at the Great Wolf Lodge. But then around 30 days 'til the con, Rheanna said that she could go and pay for all her admisison and s**t. And that was pretty great, 'cause she's a great Winry cosplayer. Then two weeks before the con, Damien really wanted to go, so he asked if it was alright if he could go, because we were only reserving one room. He'd sleep in the closet and go outside the room in the hallway when the girls were changing and showering and s**t like that. Everyone's parents gave the OK. One week before the con, we start discussing what we're gonna do there, 'cause Julie's gonna have her birthday party that Saturday which, ironically enough, is my birthday. I turn 15. And that same week, we find out that Julie's little sister isn't going, so everyone's happy because she's a little b***h.
So, everything's going great, right?
You couldn't be farther from the truth.
Since it was Julie's mom taking us, she said that we could go if Julie got her Maths grade up to at least a 3 (a C for all you not-Omaha people). Her grade was a 4 (a D) on the brink of a 3 and she could get it up with a test. She studied for a combined total of 6 hours this week and took her test on Wednesday.
Yesterday and today have been snow days 'cause of a blizzard that you might've seen on the news lately.
We all figured that her teacher would have gotten the grades in the computer. Me, for example. I stayed up 'til 11.30 straightening my hair for cosplay. I cleaned my costume. I took off my nail polish. I saved up over $100 for the Dealer's Room. Hell, I even bought new shoes for Naka-Kon.
Julie's teacher didn't get the grades put in the computer yet.
Her grade's still a 4.
We're not going to Naka-Kon.
