Thank you for guiding me down the road of life.
Thank you for helping me take my first steps,
For helping me say my first words.
You know what to say wand do to make me feel better when I’m sad.
You taught me right from wrong.
You taught me when to say yes or when to say no.
When I would get hurt,
You would kiss me and make to better.
You’re the best cook ever,
Even if dad is the best on the grill.
You were at every school event;
Every school play, talent show, band/choir concert,
Or the little things.
When I had trouble you were always there to help me through.
When I got old enough you sat me down and had ‘the talk’.
When I got awards you always had the camera and tears in your eyes.
And this is all in the past, and I’m just thinking about what your going
To do in the future.
Being at my wedding, seeing me say my ’I do’s.
Being there when your grandchild is born.
You volunteering to watch the children when I have to work.
You and me watching the children go to be adults,
And them starting their lives.
Mom, you’re the greatest person in the world.
I may not show it all the time, but I love you.
You’re the strongest person I am proud to know.
I just want to is “I love you, and thank you.”
Happy Mother’s Day.
