my katana named sad means: peace and love make strong) Kazuko Aiko (the brown one in the pose of an X) is 27.5" and 4" wide. it has the dragon of all elements and says on the blade "better to die then live in shame." All the Samurai fights are done with katanas artisan and very sharpened, being lethal with these swords. The swords of Samurai are arms at two hands, but the Samurais can use them as if it was swords was part of there own body.
NOTE: that katanas were not made to defend or protect but to kill one another.
my family's katana named: Mai Yoshe Sanjo (means: dasncing deamon of the shinigami world). is 30" long and 4.5" wide and it has the deamon of souls on it and says "a thousand deamons can be killed in one strike of the Mai Yoshe Sanjo." this katana has been made around 500 yr ago. around the time were people belived that deamon were real.
