Something I have learned on the road of life...
Danger is such a necessary component of life. Without some form of danger, hazard or stress, a creature would perish of ennui. It's happened.
Curiously, such a vital element also happens to be one of the most unquantifiable. How much danger is too much? Ask that question to a thousand different people and a thousand different answers emerge.
To one, leaving the house might involve far more risk than is needed. They might find the soft warmth of home more comfortable. For another, everyday risks satisfy their need for stimulus. Sex, love, crossing busy streets, these risks are enough.
Yet another might scoff at simple hazards of common life, exhibiting as appetite for more perilous situations, enjoying the sweat-sweet flavor of adrenaline flooding their body.
Still another might find adrenaline rushes banal and crave something far more dark and exquisite; some morsel of experience that is singularly exhilarating, uniquely satisfying.
Danger has no specific measure, no objective definition.
......It's more a matter of taste.
