What the? Nerissa thought as she tracked the speed in which Tikki and Ikkit raced to the the command deck.
Those two take orders from no one. Who is this stranger?Waiving an arm in front of herself, the strange woman made her
armor disappear. As she turned to go, Nissa noticed the woman's limp was gone. In fact, any external and internal injuries had healed--although the woman looked a little gaunt.
"I told you not to run that diagnostic," the woman said looking over her shoulder. "If you run it one more time on me, I will reconfigure your OS so you're a blathering idiot."
"Who are you?" Nerissa's hologram form asked, reappearing in front of the woman as she stepped into the hall. Ignoring the question, the woman walked through the hologram. Turning to watch the woman leave, the hologram turned back to look at its avatar. "Well...that was quite rude."
"Indeed," Nissa replied.
"It is an honor to meet you," Tikki and Ikkit said, bowing deeply as the woman stepped onto command deck. "And also an honor to serve under you."
Shutting down all systems except for emergency power and life support, Nerissa made her hologram appear on command deck facing the woman who had taken the captain's position. "We are going no where until you answer my question."
"We haven't time for this," the woman said, looking at Ikkit.
"It may be worth at least telling her your name," Ikkit said.
"And maybe a bit of background," Tikki replied. "Nerissa's generally more cooperative that way."
"I didn't think you two talked," Nissa said, appearing on the deck. Looking at the strange woman, she asked, "Well?"
Sighing, the woman said, "
Fine. My name is Niphaphone Keophonthepha--you may call me n** as few can actually pronounce
[+1] my name. I am not quite sure how I got here--something I am sure that Ikkit here could explain--but I appeared in that hangar with an immediate sense of what to do."
"I was trying to create a containment field for Nogard and ended up summoning Lady n**," Ikkit said with a hint of embarrassment. "I had an idea that's what I did when I saw Fred fly out of the lab."
"Can we get a move on now?" n** asked. "The planet below us is in an uproar about a missing person...and if we don't move now, they're probably going to use an ion cannon on us."
Returning full power to the ship, Nerissa opened a display screen next to Rose, "Rose. Why would the fairies be in an uproar about you?"
"Every one hang on to something," n** said. A split second, she opened a slip stream portal and entered it. "I am not quite sure what I'm doing."
