I'm back from Nashville, and it was a blast! Well, except for the flight down there...
We landed in Detroit International and got off to look for our departing flight to Nashville. We found our flight number and our gate, then we checked to see if we were on time. THE FLIGHT HAD BEEN CANCELLED!!!! Why did they cancel it? Not because of the weather, but because of the fact that they had no FLIGHT CREW! We ended up staying in a cheap hotel without our luggage (so no clean clothes or undies and i had no contact solution because of that new rule of no liquids on your carry-on, so i had to throw out my contacts.). We got into Nashville Saturday morning at about 9 and we had to wait for our luggage for an hour. My aunt had to wait for her second bag for an extra two hours. It had her good tennis shoes and her underwear in it. So yeah....
We went on a tour of the stars homes on Monday. We saw Alan Jackson's, Trace Adkins', Leanne Rimes', and Keith Urban's houses. Long tour, but fun.
Before that, we went on a horse and buggy tour of downtown Nashville. That was really relaxing. We also saw a Grand Ole Opry show, toured the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman, and went into Tootsies.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous down there. We got a free upgrade to a Mustang Convertible, so we were extremely excited about driving with the top down. It got into the upper 80's, and when I got back to Wisconsin, it was rainy and cold out. Talk about a climate change.
Finals are coming up in a matter of only a week. I just found out today that my final for English Lit is a take home exam where we write two essays (500-700 words) worth 100 points each. I like that better because we get an entire week to work on them.
Last night was so amazing. I can't even begin to describe it. My boyfriend and I were goofing around in our makeshift living room upstairs when he kissed me and we started making out. I had Leanne Rimes "I Need You" stuck in my head the entire time. We made out until about 1:30 in the morning and we had started at about midnight. Oh my god, it was so amazing... There are no words to describe how i felt at that moment. heart heart heart
