Chapter 1(Con.)
The morning light peeked through the trees as the gental breeze rubbed against Ariex's face. His wings widdened to stretch as his calm eyes opened slowly.
The sound of bird's made him smile. His stomach growed a bit.
He stood up then began to glow white. He transformed into a crane then took flight into the blue clear sky.
"Yo Rio!" a voice shouted. A boy looked towards the man who was holding a bag of fish. The man threw a fish at him. It slipped through his hands but quickly he managed to get ahold of it. "Go gut it why don't yea? I'll give you 2 extra coins..."
The boy's brownish eyes widdened as a smile appeared on his face, "Yes sir!"
He picked up the knife then quickly chopped off the fish's head over a knife board. The sound of towns people filled the market streets.
He stuck his hand into the fish then pulled out the guts afterwards he started to cut off the scales.
"Rio I need two smoked samons!" The boss called as customers lined up at their stand. "Coming right up!"
He put the knife down then walked up to the stove. The smoke from the flames rose into the air. Rio reached up then took the fish down placing it on the board. He placed the wooden clip back onto the clothes line where fish hung while being smoked. He took out plastic wrapping then wrapped the fish into a tight bind also doing the same thing to the second fish. He placed them into a bag then handed it to his boss who handed it to the customer.
"Ahhh....man we are busy like normal..." he spoke cutting the fish up into pieces.
After an hour of rushing work the stand finally closed.
"You did a great job today like normal here 25 cents..."
"What? This much! Are you sure?" Rio asked surprised.
"Hahahaha well kid you deserve it...now go home you're dog is probably waiting for a bite to eat..."
"Yes sir thank you!" He rushed through town with a huge grin holding his coins with all his might.
He stopped to rest at the park then sat under a statue.
He opened the bag then threw some fish towards some pigeons that huddled nearby. They ate it hungerly almost fighting with each other.
A white blur flashed by scaring the pigeons away. Rio's eyes widdened.
A white crane appeared eatting the rest of the fish.
Rio was speechless but impressed.
He inched forward a bit. It raised its head slowly looking towards him with hollow blue eyes.
Rio stopped moving. It went back to eatting raising the wings a bit.
It finished off the rest of the fish then noticed Rio slowly was inching his hands towards it with a bit more fish. It opened it wings then flew off violently.
Rio was bummed but watched as it finally vanished. Feathers of white glided into the wind. "It was so pretty..."
He stood up then left.
