For the past few days I have been busying myself with these books and Bibles. There is no mention of evil, not even a scrap. Padre Sebastian must have been overexaggerating because from what I have read from these books, Los Illuminados followers seem to be no different than any other religion. They seek unity, togetherness, and to rely on your brethren. Las Plagas is the center of this religion, and they go in detail about how the parasite grants the host powers for good. Increased strength, the ability to run at unimaginable speeds, and the followers wrote they could stay up for days to listen to their priest give his sermons.
Though it is unknown to anyone in my castle, not even my most trusted Butler Hernando, I have declared my religion to be Los Illuminados. This 'evil' man Padre Sebastian talked about, a Los Illuminados convert, I want to meet him. I want to rely on an actual teacher rather than just interpreting these books for myself. I just wish the senile old man had told me more than just the man being evil. Evil, to Catholics or any other religion, is relative. What truly makes a person 'evil?' Is it the way they act? The deeds they do? I can't answer that, as I do not believe in true evil.
Continuing on with the subject of these texts, I have seen this unusual symbol used repeatedly in the books. I have deduced that is their insignia. I believe I have actually seen the insignia around my castle, though the butlers and maids have done a good job to hide it as if in embarrassment. I will personally take it upon myself to have the symbol of this faith; my new faith, to be shown clearly. I will not be ashamed to say I'm Los Illuminados, though it may not be such an easy thing to do with Hernando. For now, I will bide my time and keep these books well hidden so Hernando or any other house attendant will not burn them.

Castellan's Memos
It's nothing more than a small black leather-bound notebook. Upon opening it you see the pages are yellowed, but the entries are still legible. Dare you read the eighth castellan's secret thoughts?
