Star-Bites Comics Star-Bites first came to me when I was in my senior year in high school. They are commonly four-panel comic strips featuring Starxia (me) and Starxiez (my twin sister) with occasional guest characters either from real-life or on Gaia. I want the comics to be short, precise, and straight to the point just to give people a little humor in their day (or some disturbing facts that will scar them for the rest of their lives as well as their afterlives).
Starxia: Obviously, me. I draw myself as a typical person combining the characteristics of my real-life elements with Gaian elements. I'm a natural brunette but the blue smooth-flowing hair gives my character more identity as well as a distinguishable appearance. You may notice that the blue hair plays a key role in identification when you see cosplays such as Pyramid Head. The same factor applies to the red eyes; naturally brown-eyed but Gaian-red-eyes gives more depth into the character. The clothing varies according to the comic theme.
Starxiez: My twin sister. I draw her very similar to myself with a few minor, but noticeable changes while combining the characteristics of her real-life elements with Gaian elements. She is a natural brunette but the blue hair gives the character more identity as well as a distinguishable appearance. Her hair includes a her right-side/your left-side teased bang with a small ponytail in the black. You may notice that her blue hairstyle plays a key role in identification when you see cosplays such as Batman. The same factor applies to the red eyes; naturally brown-eyed but Gaian-red-eyes gives more depth into the character. The clothing varies according to the comic theme.
Henry: Henry is our cousin who is 12 years younger than us. His spontaneous personality is made for adorable laughter. At the tender age of 7, Henry developed slanderous vocabulary including curse words and he is very wise when using those words properly. In fact, I think he's a bully in school. My uncle and aunt don't see a reason to punish him because he would learn those words later in life, it is also very funny to talk to him. But Henry's a nice guy and he doesn't mean harm, he knows words such as "********" and "s**t" are words not agreeable towards to the public. He can be polite and respectful at the appropriate times and behave the opposite when the time is right. Henry made his debut in Towel Fort and made further appearances.
LeBron: Judging by the name, you'll guess that this person is foreign. LeBron is our Black friend who doesn't seem to fit the stereotype all-around although he is very passionate about his heritage. He has been our friend through middle/junior high school and up until senior high school where we part ways to go to college. LeBron has the Black-lingo, Black "fresh line" clothing, and the haircut. LeBron made his debut in W3 b g4ng57er5!.
Carlos: Carlos is a Gaian user and also my Gaian friend since early 2008, you can check our his profile here. We share a lot of common interests such as drawing and Pokémon; Carlos has always been a Pokémon fan when we met which lead to the creation of one of my Star-Bites. Carlos made his debut in Breaking News: Shiny Pokémon.
Chelsi: My and Starxiez's best friend since ... second grade! A long time! She has a Gaia account but she wouldn't accept any friend requests and her profile is blank. You wouldn't really want to see it. That's all there is to talk about I guess, Chelsi made her debut in Annoyed!.
Detention This event occurred high school. The idea came to me when Starxiez and I had a math class together and I was always the twin that fell asleep first, due to the fact that this was our last class of the day - after a long day, after lunch - the perfect time for a nap. It was a review session for an upcoming test but Starxiez thought I needed to review hence the cause and effect of the paper-throwing act. Unfortunately, the teacher caught her doing this and walked over to us and started spazzing out, literally: unnecessary and uncalled for. Obviously, I can't reenact this in a comic drawing and make my teacher seem like some kind of hyper-active b***h. It would seem impractical which takes the laughter and fun out of it. I want the main focus to be Starxiez's act of throwing the paper with the drawing and my act of sleeping during class. So I just made the teacher calm about the situation and the penalty of being sent to ASDC (After-School Detention Center), which was NOT the case. We got referred there, we had to sign in, then we had to wait for an hour. It was stupid, we were 17 and the method of putting children in a corner and give them time to think about their misdoing; this isn't going to influence us. This eventually led me to draw about this moment and turn it into something unique to me as well as others I've decided to share it with.
Tribadism Ah, yes. Tribadism. I'm sure most of you have searched this on the Internet after seeing this word. The concept behind this Star-Bite is a term that would be unfamiliar to a lot of people... but also familiar at the same time. Of course, I thought of Tribadism first and decided this was going to be highlight of the comic (what a bad choice!). The punchline or the main joke is for the readers to search for the definition of the word. It's genius!
Twilight Effect Remember that time where nearly chick was into the Twilight fad? Yeah, Starxiez and I were in that group but I took it more to the extreme. This led to the idea where I would imitate being a vampire, to join the cult and all. The first thing that comes into a simple mind when they think about vampires is the bite, fangs or venom. Using simple things that people know, I can play around with the storyline to find something suitable; in the end, I was able to have Starxiez occupied while I sneak up for a vampire bite using traditional Halloween plastic fangs.
2010 Christmas Special - Children Christmas deserves celebration everywhere! Christmas is mostly for young children. This fact is true but seemed odd when Santa is an old man giving presents to them. In fact, I think he stalks kids - how else would he know who's naughty or nice? I'm sure you know how the storyline pieces together easily from here. Hope you enjoyed this 22-panel Star-Bite!
Towel Fort This is kind of self-explanatory. It was a true story after all. Starxiez took my towel while I was in the shower in order to make a towel fort for my cousin Henry. The end result is what you saw in the last panel.
Interviewer Invitation This interview never happened, keep this in mind. The key point of this Star-Bite is the silly randomness: Naked Chicken Gladiators. I needed some kind of way to work up to this clip instead just jamming it in here (heh heh, that's what she said). This Family Feud interview in this Star-Bite also relates to a future Star-Bite.
Crying Over Spilled Milk Starxiez basically spilled milk on my iPod causing it to become fried. No matter what you do, it won't turn on. I was really angry, which I drew my angry thoughts but in a more humorous way. I guess this is the only time I'll get people laugh while I'm mad, just this one only time. D:<
Family Feud Everybody knows the game show Family Feud right? If not, you're in the wrong place. I thought of a silly question for the show but couldn't find a creative response. My cousin Henry suggested "******** Prostitutes" yet he answered my question correctly in some twisted sense of mind. He was six at the time; he actually completed the Star-Bite due to this.

Essays Some of my friends would use some polishing on their reading skills, yeah you know who you are. Basically, I write about some controversial real-life topics that are enjoyable yet educational and hopefully can bring ideas to create your own pieces of work. However, I do not declare my writings as scholarly work. I also do not endorse or encourage such writing behaviors, I would advise people to do the exact opposite of what I'm doing. This is to promote reading, not writing. I intend to get people interested in reading by allowing them to read things they actually WANT to read.
