my random journal of stuff which has to b really cool or noteworthy or i wont waste time writing about it
i hav better punctuation offline but i dont feel lik messing with it. i only care about what matters. ill only do entrys on stuff that was really cool or that mattered. most of that stuff is gonna b pretty random.
ok. yea. so i just got back from Exploration Days, which is a three day long (June 18, 19, 20) camp type thing held at MSU. u take one full class or two half classes. most ppl take half classes. i took hands on science and model rocketry. i had a blast. our county took almost 75 kids i think. in hands on science, my first half class, we did experiments and stuff (duh) and went to a museum. the first day we made DNA models out of candy, pipe cleaners, and toothpicks. we had to name ten body parts with only three letters, which was more fun than it sounds like cus we kept debating stuff. we put food coloring in milk and dipped dish soap into it, which makes it spread out really fast and look really cool. the second day we went to impressions 5 museum in downtown lansing. there were a bunch of exhibit things where u threw things with catapults or cannon type things or whatever. we made slime. other than that and not killing the little campers from some other thing we had pretty much free rein of the building. there was a bubble room which was sweet cus we could make a sheet like a window which was really cool looking if u blew on it. there was also a thing with which we could make a bubble around ourselves. in rocketry we made rockets (duh) and learned about HAM radio on the first day. on the second day we launched about 35-40 rockets. we got all of them back. there were a couple about four feet long. there was one made out of a mini plastic model porta-jon with fins stuck to the corners. there was big daddy, which has no retrieval system (parachute and stuff) and comes down as fast as it goes up. we scared the hell out of the field hockey players by telling them that and telling them that it might hit them, which could probly kill them. it went about 2-3 inches into the ground on landing. in the first half class it went in about 4 inches. we got to launch our own rockets, which were all the same and nothing as interesting as the ones i just wrote about, which belonged to the instructors. on wednesday night three men and a tenor put on a concert, which was hilarious. overall i had a blast. it was a ton of fun and i think im going back next year. i was kinda nervous cus none of my friends were going but im really really really glad i went neway. for my first half i got like my fourth choice or smthing (my first was archery) and for the second half i got my first choice.
