okay so
hi there
hurrah it's friday! i like fridays...except for music class in the morning. it's both emotionally and physically draining. i was very very upset at the start of the year because this is what happened okay:
at the VCE orientation last year, the teacher put us into groups. and like, i wanted to have vocals as my instrument (but i realise now that that would be an epic fail), but all the boys and a girl that they think is awesome in the class just went off and made their own groups and the teacher didn't do anything. gahh it was so heartbreaking. so then there had to be one last group made from all the people that weren't in the groups that went off by themselves or whatever.
at first, i was dissapointed about being in the group with all the people that were left over because I didn't really know them very well. wait, come to think of it, i didn't know many people in that class very well, and i was really anxious about it.
but yeah it turns out my group is pretty cool. i ended up being stuck with playing guitar, but i didn't have any problem with that, because guitar is awesome.
i think our name should be 'the leftovers' because that's what we were, and we want everyone to know how pissed off we are and stuff.
and yeah i'm fine with it now -- most of the people in the group are good and dedicated musicians and stuff. and when we play together, it sounds like music and that's always a good sign, isn't it?
So yeah that's the backstory. Now to the story of what happened this morning:
we had to do an 'unprepared performance' which involves the teacher giving us chords, a riff and a drum beat and we have to play it and 'make it our own' or whatever. my group was kinda pissed because we have a proper performance of the songs that we've been rehearsing on the 24th and we needed all the practice time we can get. so yeah i'm angry at the teacher again.
i hate being angry at him because he's cool and he was like to my dad 'she has potential she just has to try' or something.
