The carriage stopped, and Sarina swallowed. It was time to get out, and see what this small village held for her.
It was surprisingly ordinary, for the feelings she had had on the ride there. A small village outside a pre-Disaster ruins site, surrounded by fields. A river ran through the fields, away from the road. People were working all throughout the fields, and it was once she had finished taking in the sites that Sarina saw him.
He had tan skin and bright red hair that stuck up. He carried about six swords on his back, and two bags in his hands that seemed to be filled with swords as well. He was staring to the river, and Sarina could see his eyes were a darker red.
He was beautiful.
"Sarina? Little lamb?" her father called. She jerked up. Her father laughed at her reaction before continuing, "You've been standing there for the past few minutes, just staring at nothing."
"Y-yeah," Sarina said, her eyes straying back to the boy. He jerked after a second, and ran after an old man. "I've just been staring at nothing...."

"Long lost friend...? I'm sorry, but I don't think I've ever met you." Yuuki laughed awkwardly. After all, this girl was really, really weird.
"No, you are her...." the girl said. "Your eyes are unmistakable...."
Yuuki resisted the sudden urge to hit the freaky girl. She really didn't like people bringing up her eyes. It wasn't that she hated them, but they had become a bit of a sore spot after she had been teased for them as a child. They were also a prime source of gossip amongst those who suspected her mother had been unfaithful.
Yuuki simply brightened up her smile. "I'M SORRY," she stressed, "I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER MET YOU."
"No," agreed the girl. Yuuki blinked in surprise. Hadn't the girl been saying that they were long lost friends?- "At least," she added, "not in this lifetime."

Veponie stood up from her spot with Peter. She did have work now, after all.
She followed her friend to the fields. On her way there, she let her eyes wander, taking in the familiar sights. And then she saw him.
He was running after an old man, and was carrying many swords. And he was beautiful. Veponie felt her face heat up. She had never felt this way about a man before, not even Peter.
She would have to find him, later.

The young man walked into town. He adjusted the pack on his shoulder, before smiling at the ruined city.
"Finally," he said, "I'm here. Veponie...!"
