"Blah, blah, blah, math... blah," sensei said loudly.
"Uuuuuh, this so BORING! I already know this!", A pink haired girl rolled her apple green eyes and combed her pink locks with her fingers. Due to her photographic memory, Sakura had her name listed under the 'Top Students List'. She needn't pay attention, so her emerald orbs dully glanced around the small classroom.
Sakura's eyes caught a glimpse of yellow. She watched as a blonde with cerulean eyes, a brunette with fangs, and a slightly chubby boy chucked paper snowballs at each other. Sensei threw the boys grim looks but continued with her explanation obviously used to their constant interruptions.
Sakura smiled at Naruto, Kiba, and Choji. They are so amusing to watch. "As usual," Sakura mouthed to them. Naruto flashed her a big smile, Kiba stuck his tongue playfully at her, and Choji blushed. She heard a sigh behind her and she turned around to face her best friend, who had black hair tied up in a ponytail.
Shikamaru lazily stated,"Damn this is boring. I'mma sleep." He slumped down his chair.
Sakura giggled and she slumped down her chair as well. She rested her arm on her desk using her hand to hold her head up. Sakura heard a dreamy sigh and turned her head to her right. Sakura saw a blonde with baby blue eyes gaze absentmindedly at a boy with midnight blue hair, Sasuke Uchiha, her 'soul mate'. Sasuke sat there, his obsidian eyes looking concentrated as usual. He scribbled words into his notebook looking like he understood whatever Sensei interpreted to the class.
"Sakura-chan?", Kurenai asked frightening Sakura, "Pi equals?"
That's easy,"3.14 Kurenai Sensei," she smiled at her sensei, Sakura's green eyes looking calm, she knew her answer was correct.
Shikamaru leaned forward and whispered,"You smart-showoff."
"Shoosh.... I got the answer from your paper," she answered back.
"No you didn't," Shikamaru protested, "I have no answers on my paper, baka."
Sakura glanced at his paper, sure enough the paper hadn't been touched by him. She giggled, "Damn you caught me," she stuck her tongue out and formed a peace sign with her fingers.
He half-smiled and went back to sitting position. Whoops I meant sleeping position.
Sakura giggled again, "Shika you lazy-butt."
"Che, whatever Saku...," Shikamaru smiled and closed his eyes.
Sakura inattentively doodled in her notebook. Then quckly glanced in Sasuke's direction. She inconspiciously wrote in her notebook, 'Why? He doesn't notice me!? Why Why WHy WHY!' She glanced at his direction again. Suddenly his obsidian eyes met her emeralds and she averted her eyes blushing. Then Sakura flipped the page and wrote 'Sasuke heart Sakura, Sasuke heart Sakura,' repeatingly until the page was filled.
"Hey, Sakura, what are you writing?" Shikamaru asked when he was suddenly awakened by the rukus that Naruto, Kiba, and Choji had caused.
Sakura put her notebook to her chest to block the words, "Notes... and.. stuff," Sakura smiled innocently.
Shikamaru smirked,"Well then, I dare you to throw your 'notes and stuff' at Ino," he nodded his head towards the blonde still gazing and the Uchiha prodigy.
Sakura smiled slyly," OK!," Sakura crumpled the paper into a snowball-like form. She aimed for Ino's head, but as the paper flew in the air, the blonde moved forward missing her by a little. And the paper landed on HIS desk. HIS desk, the person sh wrote about, SASUKE UCHIHA!
A paper landed on Sasuke's desk. He thought ,'The Dobe probably threw it at him 'accidentally',' He opened the crumpled paper and read the page. One of his eyebrows rose in suprise. Then he threw the paper into the trashcan making it in, he always had a thing for basketball.
Sakura watched his movements and blushed,"He knows!," Sakura mumbled to herself.
"Knows what?" Shikamaru asked,"That you like him? Is that what was written on the paper?"
"Yes..." Sakura answered nervously.
The bell rang and school's out for the day.
Sakura remained seated. Maybe if she stayed in her seat he wouldn't notice? "Bye Shika!"
Shikamaru yawned lazily,"Bye Saku," he stared at Sasuke,"You want me to stay?"
"No! It's ok." Sakura said,"Maybe he'll ignore me like he does to all the other girls."
"ok...,"Shikamaru hugged Sakura,"But tell me if he hurts you, ok?"
"ok," Sakura nodded and saw a glimpse of jealousy/angryness in Sasuke's obsidian eyes as he watched them.
Shikamaru let go and walked out the door eyeing Sasuke.
Sakura sighed, "He can be so... overprotective sometimes," she mumbled to herself.
Sasuke walked by Sakura and smirked. He was close enough so that their shoulders brushed against each other gently.
Sakura turned slightly red. 'Why is he messing with my feelings?' She spotted a notebook on Sasuke's desk. She walked over to the desk,' wow... he's forgetful?' She read the notebook,'Sakura Uchiha, Sakura Uchiha....,' was hastily written throughout the page, she blushed. And in the very bottom, very neatly this time, were the words,'Sakura Haruno+Sasuke Uchiha=Sasusaku'
"Whoops, I forgot my notebook--"
Sakura jumped and quickly turned around bumping into Sasuke. She was in sudden shock when their lips slightly brushed against each other when he bent down a little to retrieve his notebook. She quickly turned a lot of shades of red.
Sasuke was in shock as well. He did not expect that to happen.
"Gomenisai! Sasuke-kun..," Sakura hastily grabbed her stuff and walked out the door, her heart racing.
Sasuke touched his lips and blushed. He watched her leave and smirked. 'Today was lucky'
Kurenai watched her students secretly. She smirked and whispered, "Aaaaaaah.. young love...," Then walked out of the classroom as well, looking at the ring that her 1st and only love gave her.
