Kalervo is skilled in hand to hand combat, using his backgrounds in many different forms of martial arts to keep his foe guessing. He has had some training with swords yet is far from what one would call a master. Using his machine focus he is able to tap into the ice element for short periods of time, this is used as a last result due to the amount of energy required to control it.

Due to his martial arts background Kalervo is very disciplined, thus allowing him to look at both sides of a conflict when making a stragey.

Kalervo is extremely calm and level headed, even in times of great stress making him an excellent problem solver and strategus.

He is hard-headed when it comes to his plans, no matter the input or feed back he sees his plan as the only way to get the job done right and with minimal risk.
History ::
Kalervo Aleksanteri Venäläinen wasn't born into a family of extreme wealth, nor was his family poor, his father made enough for the family to survive with minimal left over for enjoyment. His families social standings led him to take his schooling seriously, knowing that one day he too would enter the working world, he was always being praised for being so mature for one so young. This would continue until he was 10 when he discovered the exciting world of martial arts. He would beg and plead with his father for the money to train and study, reluctantly his father would cave. At the age of 16 Kalervo would drop out of school in order to work and help provide for his family, his father had grown ill and he felt it his responsibility to take care of the family. His father would pass, his mother would follow soon after, months after he dropped out. Having no one to rely on but himself he would take odd jobs here and there tucking money aside for his martial arts training, and growing interest in sword play. During a construction job he happened upon a stone that looked like it had been snapped in two, normally something like this he'd toss aside as junk but the stone seemed to be pulsating much like a beating heart. By age 20 he had mastered several different martial arts including Karate, jujitsu. Present Day we find Kalervo wandering the wastelands following the stone, which seemed to pulsate much harder and faster when pointed in one direction.
