Pile of works...
Stories, Poems or random thoughts I've either collected or made up, some complete, some incomplete.
This is taken from a book of Romanian fairytales called Greuceanu

Once upon a time...

There lived a ruler whose name was the Red Emperor. He was very sad because one day some ogres had stolen the sun and the moon from the sky.

So he sent word throughout the country and to all the cities in the world that whoever brought the sun and the moon back from the ogres would receive his daughter for a wife and half of his empire into the bargain, but that he who dared return empty-handed have his head cut off.

Many Valiant youths had come, boasting of what they would do, but when they set out they wandered from place to place, not knowing where to begin nor where to leave off; for not all that flies make honey. And the Red Emperor kept his word.

In those days there lived a brave man called Greuceanu. He heard of the Emperor's promise and, after thinking and racking his brains, he mustered enough courage and trusting in God and his own valor, he set off to see the Emperor and offer his services. On the way he met two men who were being led by the emperor's servants to have their heads cut off, for they had run away from an encounter with wild beasts which the Emperor had been fightin. The poor men were desperate, but Greuceanu spoke to them soothingly, for he had the gift of eloquence and they plucked up a little courage
