Poems!
Riverbed
Rushing, Flowing, It's
Beauty unmeasurable.
The River's Rapids.

Wildfire
The Red Shadows Dance
Billowing Wild Vibrance.
They Light up the night.

Kiss the Bride
When she walks in the room
His heart slows down.
He stands up, breathless
she looks astonishing.
He takes his hat off
as she walks down the aisle.
All eyes are on her, finally
it's her time to shine.
She reaches the alter
he can see the tears of joy
welling up in her eyes and his.
She finally get what she wanted,
all those years.
She finally got what she deserved.
"You may kiss the bride."

Forever Falling Grains
A young boy walks the sidewalk,
Smiling.
Why shouldn't he?
He has all
the time
in the world.
But the hourglass sits there,
Running out of sand.
The young boy crosses the road
as another grain falls.
He spots a nickel in the pavement
as another grain falls.
He brushes it off
as another grain falls.
The truck's horn blares
as another grain falls.
The boy looks up
. . . . .
The last grain falls.
People crowd around him,
They know his last grain fell.
And now they know
maybe their last grain falls tomorrow.
Maybe yours does too.

God Is
He gives us his word,
and we don't even read it.
He wants to know us,
But we won't let him.
He gave us second chances,
But we waste them.
He showed us miracles,
And we still ignore them.
He sent his only son,
And we only condemned him.
Whether you believe he is, or is not.
God is still God.
Some of us still hear his voice,
He smiles down at us.
Some of us still haven't...
But it's okay,
He's still waiting for you.

Stiffled Brilliance
The Quiet kid in the corner of the room.
The one in the back who always keeps to himself.
The one you don't notice when he stays home from school.
The one whos invisible, Even when he's there.
He's the one who gets bullied, the one who gets shunned.
But no one takes notice.
Have you?
Maybe you should.

Eleventh Grade Biography
He's missing from home,
He misses his friends,
He's told he'll be back,
He just doesn't know when.

He comes home from school,
Tired of not knowing why,
He's going through all of this,
And he can't even cry.

He keeps in touch with his friends,
Or at least he tries,
When he says he's okay,
They don't know that he lies.

He fights with his Dad,
And he wants to go home,
It's then that he realizes,
He is alone.

When he lays down to sleep,
He closes his eyes,
Something runs through his mind,
And he smiles inside.

This light of salvation,
This glimmer of hope,
It keeps him still going,
At the end of his rope.

Mostly it's God,
Partly it's friends,
But the light he holds on to,
He'll hold on til the end.
