Hey everyone! ^_^
Its been a while since I last posted anything! ^.^ quite a few things have changed since then!
I am now a Blue belt!!! yaaaay!!!!! whee And Boy did i have to work uber hard for the belt!! O_o.... If anyone wants to know what kind of torture i go through, just ask! ^_^ but this torture will help make me a stronger person.... with quicker reflexes! (either you develop your reflexes are get axe kicked across the head! lol.. no joke! scary place!)
For the next 4 months and on I will be learning the Staff!!! >w< I am so excited! I finally arriiiiiiived!!!!! ^w^
::Goes around smacking people with her stick:: Oh yeah! that takes skill ya know!
So yes... besides Martial arts, i have also been really busy with being a full time college student! and soon enough I will be working at a book store! ^.^ (I just need to wait for some paperwork to go through before I can start working there.)
but alas, in the midst of the good news there is some bad news!! The love of my life is leaaaaaavingggg meeeeeeee!!! gonk

Okay... o.o... so maybe not the love of my life. No, he doesn't even think of me as a friend much less anything more. He thinks of me as a Kuk sool student.. because he is an assistant instructor.. about 3 years older than me.
Reallllllly cute british guy to die for! >w< but he's leaving the class because he will be joining the royal airforce... just my luck, ne? ^^'
But even if he were to stay, im pretty sure nothing would happen because i get soooo nervous in front of him... there would be no way of me telling him I like him.
Anywho... so yes.. that is what has changed in my life! ^.^
OH! and also I will be training for the next 2 months for a tournament! wish me luck!

Sometimes you have one of those days where you have so much anger and frusteration built up in you, you can break a ton of bricks with no martial arts training!!! This is one of those moments.
Right now I am living with my parents. And I have no car... we have two... but since my dad is working nights, tonight we (being my mom, lil sister, and I) just had the junky lil car we got practically for free!
I asked my mom if she could drop me off to martial arts practice and then pick me up at 8:45.
She said "Yeah.. I will just come around 8:00"
ooooo-kay... if you don't mind waiting that long is what I was thinking.
Soooo... practice went over until 9:00PM and I went outside, expecting to see the car, and waited there in the rain England is famous for.
She never showed up.......>.> and by that time, all of my friends had already left so there was no way to get a ride. I don't have a cell-phone... OH! But My 12 year-old-sister does because she neeeeeds one because all the other kids have them!!!
So I had to make the 20 minute walk home in sandels, Martial arts pants, and a tank top with a sweater over it.
The wind was directing the rain right into my face and they felt like lil darts. O.<
The bad thing though is when i get home. I walk in... soaking wet... and my mom has the NERVE to start yelling at me!!!
Why... you may ask... because She showed up around 8:14 and waited there and I didn't come out.. so she drove around, couldn't find me, so decided to go home... and all this time I had been in the Gym (the class is held in a gym rather than a dojo)
She practically cussed me out... asked my why i was so stupid... and told me I should stop going to martial arts!!!
Now... I'm raised in a Hispanic family.... so yelling back at her would be a huge no-no or suffer the consenquances!!! So what else is there for me to do but to stomp upstairs, peel the soaked cloths off my body, and curse silently to myself?
That didn't help much... so now I am venting here! >w< And I have to admit, it does make me feel better..... *sigh* sometimes I just want to get away from them all. But I know I am not ready and I would fall straight on my bum. England is too expensive for me to live on my own.... there's no way. It's different from the states.
So I guess I need to just stick it out until i move back to the states or get married....... >.> ANY SINGLE 20 YEAR OLDS OUT THERE?? 4laugh
well... i better get some sleep.. work is early tomorrow (7:00 is early for ze mari)

ahhhhh *reclines on the computer chair* Thank God it's the weekend!
You know, you really don't appreciate the weekend that much until you have a demanding and....well.... sucky at times Job! whee
Don't get me wrong... I do love my job and what I do... but sometimes it's just draining! Children have so much energy, and as a teacher/caregiver, you need to keep up with em..... its hard work!
But probably good for me in the long run..... as is almost everything! o.o.....
anyways... Monday I am going to a different room. I will be working with 3 year olds instead of 2-3... so not that much of a change.... But I have never worked with most of the children and so it will be quite challenging. Let's hope it turns out for the better! =o
>.> dag nab it.... i forgot to check my schedule! >.< I have no clue what time I'm supposed to come in next week.... ah well. I can just call my co-worker.
today I went to kuk sool practice. We pretty much worked on forms, techniques and sparring..... I have to admit... sparring makes me soooo beyond nervous! >w<
When i get backed into a corner, my cat-form wakes up and I flail my arms at my sparring partner......... >.>...... that won't look too good in front of the judges. (i actually did this today..... xp )
tomorrow I am going to a private class and I will be, once again, focusing on Sparring, techniques, and punches. ^_^
we will see how that goes!

o.o... man... there really is a difference between learning martial arts in a class full of lotza people and having your own personal trainer to help you out!
During class, you basically focus on memorization and during private lessons you disect everything you learn and polish it.
O_O man... do I have a lot to polish! >w<
Right now I am just working on the three basic kicks....
Front Kick
Round Kick
and Side Kick
and also on doing forms properly. 3nodding so much to learn! =o
But I am enjoying every bit of it. I am really eager to learn. ^_^ my instructor is awesome! i really think i am going to learn a lot from him!

hmm... yesterday's class proved to be a biiiiit too strenuous for me! XD....
well.... actually... >.>..... to be completly honest.. I don't think I did the exercises properly and now my knee is killing me....
My instructer even warned that if you bring your knee over your foot when you are doing lunges, it will result in pain.... but I went anyways..because it seemed easier that way! sweatdrop But the easy way won't earn me a black belt...
I really have a lot to learn... ^.^ I'm glad I have a personal instructor to help me! MY FIRST CLASS IS TOMARROWWWW!!!! whee
I will let ya know how that goes! ^.~
in the meantime... I have to focus on the techniques and forms instead of the really cute British black Belt instructor who looks about my age! heart 4laugh heart

Mari-chan just got back from a martial arts muscle toning class!!!!! =o.... hard hard work! my feet hurt! >w<
But its all SOOOO worth it in the end! ^.^
Marichan will soon be a sword weilding fighting neko girl!!! *grrrr* whee well... in about 3 years mari will be a sword weilding neko! >=D
I am in a korean Martial arts class called Kuk Sool Won. It has only been about a month since i have been learning kuk Sool. And Already, My mentor wants me to take part of a National UK tournament in November! =o
I'm not so sure if I am ready for sparring... but I am planning to compete in Techniques and Form.
well... i will be starting private lessons with a 1st degree black belt named Gideon. He seems really wise and knowledgable and i already know how skilled he is by observing him in class.! =o he is really skilled! and he will be teaching me twice a week! whee *flails around* I'm so lucky! 4laugh
Well, I will keep this journal updated about my classes.. I have to get some sleep... work tomorrow! >.>

Hello everyone! ^.^.......>.>.......hmm... now that I think about it... not many people are going to want to read my rambelings about life in the UK working as a childcare assistant teacher and such! ^^ but oh well..
well.. this isn't much of a first entry! >w< but i have to go because my lil sis wants the computer.. tomorrow i will have all day to talk about my life! ^__^
