Yes, I'm alive ^_^. And guess what, I just saw V for Vendetta for the first time! I know, I know, I'm a little behind, but I still thought it rocked...one of those movies that really sticks with you too. Really, you want some political commentary that actually means anything? Watch V. Want a good love story? Watch V. Want adventure, science fiction, maybe some creepy english people and oh, guess what? Lots and lots of Guy Fawkes? Watch V. Then go look up Guy Fawkes on Wikipedia.org. He was such a cool dude. Did you know his name "Guy" is where we get the word guy from? As in "Hey, you guy's wanna go to the mall?" Is that not the neatest thing? Okay, rant over ^_^.

First, a follow up of the last post.
Danny Phantom could have been a lot better. Instead of a reject, he could have been an in crowd kid, still hanging out with Tuck and Sam, but also dealing with getting around the popular kids and basketball (or baseball or football, whatever). Try meshing Kim Possible in there someway, I think it would have made the show better. Also, I'm sick of seeing the "freak" kid "dealing" with stuff. No more Gingers or Pepper Anns or Lizzie Mgwires or any of that crap, real kids are not that pathetic.
Kay, thats done. So, I'm reading Teen Titans and JLA and I have to say I'm in comic book heaven. I cant wait for the new Crisis saga to go into full swing. I do have to say I dislike Kon's (SuperBoy) new look. It kinda annoys me...oh well, I'll deal sweatdrop . I was reading "Kingdom Keepers" by Ridley Pearson and finished it. I like the style and story, but the ending was kinda...lacking. I hope there's more to come. I'm litening to a lot of instrumental music which is really nice, not to mention all the eighties music my family got for Xmas ^_^. Um...thats it.
Love all, Happy New Year.

Its time for another of my wondrous rants about a comicbook/cartoon character. Today's victim: Static Shock
I love Static, he's a teenager, he's black, he lives in the hood and deals with it, hangin with his best buddy (who's dad is racsist) and getting along best he can while still maintaining a sense of right and wrong, he's a good kid living in a crumbling town, and he's smart.
In many ways, Static does what Danny Phantom should have done, but I'll get back to that later.
Virgil Hawkins is your average teenager until, at a gang fight, he's dowsed with chemicals that turn him into a living electrical current. Its a great origin and it fits Static. His best friend and partner becomes his sidekick/partner "Gear", he eventually tells his dad, he makes a few friends and a lot of enemies, and guess what! The Batman has claimed him as his own (at least in my head, Dakota is a neighboring city/suburb of Gotham. And like Bludhaven, its dying). There's just so much this show had going for it.
I love the fact that the Bat is playing role model for Static and Gear. He treats them as equals and thats whats keeping them from falling down. I like to see it that he sort of sat them down and explained how one day they can join the leauge and do whatever they want, but that they need to focus on Dakota right now, not the world at large. Its what makes them different from the Teen Titans (who are kids in my eyes). They didnt have a boss superhero to teach them anything, they're the first (the Batman, the Superman) of their generation and they're doing fine. Plus I love Batman, so yeah.
The fact that Virgil isnt a loser is a good thing too. He's pretty smart (not as smart as Richie, but thats the point isnt it?), but he hangs out with the gangbangers and usually has their respect (having a mom who was a cop and a dad who runs the local community center doesnt hurt either.).
This show was amazing. It was different and refreshing for a cartoon, and hey, it actually fit into the world as it is. There were no laser guns or floating cars (outside of whats natural for the DCAU universe). Dakota could be a real place, right now. Like Batman Beyond it dealt with real world stuff (well sort of, I'm focussing on Terry as a character study, not the show as a whole). Plus I just loved Virgil and the rest of the cast, the fact that two teenagers could figure stuff out (as teenagers arent as dumb as TV sometimes makes them). Their real people.
So thats it, there's probably more but I'm reading Justice Leauge commentary right now and I just wanted to get the whole, Batmans keeping Static and Gear away from the leauge and thats a good thing...thing out of my system ^_^. Much love, comments and input are always welcome.

So, it turns out I have control issues!
Not my counselor this time, just me and my mum. I was blabbing (cause apparently that makes me feel better) and my mum was saying something about how people who do drugs and try to stop can go through trying to stop like, 10 times before anything happens (cause I was saying how I think (and I dont do this and never will) about cutting and would that make me feel better even though I'd never do that) and I was like, "So, is my anxiety just my control?" Because the drugs and cutting thing is about being in control, and she was like "Yup." And now I feel a lot better...not completely better, but a lot more than I was. So I see my counselor on Wednesday and I'm gonna tell her what I discovered. Dude, its like a month of epiphanys.

Time for an update heart .
I turned 18, I graduated, I had a great time while my family was here...and now I'm going nuts. I cant sleep, I'm freaked out all the time, and with the amount of tension in my pinky finger I could power something...very big...for a long time. I have a trip coming up and I dont want to take the plane. Grrr! Its all very aggravating. So anyways, I've gotta prepare for the whole college thing. When I get back from vacation its time to look for a job and possibly a car. And on top of it school will be starting. But I'm looking forward to that. So...yeah. I'm done.
Peace.

Mark...and Justice League |

I have mentioned my love for Mark Hamill right...right? I mean, not because he's Luke...Luke has nothing to do with it. The dude is the Joker, THE JOKER!!!! I love him.
But, that is not why I am here to speak tonight...tonight, I am speaking on my love for Justice League, did anyone notice that, like, half the actors I know have done voices for it? Is that not cool? Yes, it is cool. Go look it up on some movie, tv review website and look at the credits, its cool.
The current plot line at the moment is also cool. I, unfortunately, dont have the focus at the moment to go into it. Simply know that it is really good for a cartoon, and certainly not a kid show. Thankyou.
