Life dips and twirls on heavy breath
With a sashay, then a spin.
She wishes to dance with Death
Instead, he accepts her heart with a grin.
He foxtrots in a different time
So far from her own.
Their feelings are rendered a crime,
By the makers of the time from which they’ve grown.
He lives as the End,
While she is the Beginning of all.
They say, “Across time a love cannot transcend.”
But their feelings have stood tall.
Because, she sends him the gifts she’s made
And each he accepts with a love that never fades.
With a sashay, then a spin.
She wishes to dance with Death
Instead, he accepts her heart with a grin.
He foxtrots in a different time
So far from her own.
Their feelings are rendered a crime,
By the makers of the time from which they’ve grown.

While she is the Beginning of all.
They say, “Across time a love cannot transcend.”
But their feelings have stood tall.
