So i spent my weekend in Little Rock, Arkansas for RCYC which is Regional Catholic Youth Confrence aka teenage catholics from Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas come together for prayer, worship, and to really get into our faith. So this is how it went: Friday: we left at 10ish, stoped at mcdonalds for lunch, and got to little rock around 6ish. ate dinner then left for the opening session which was FUN we had awesome speakers one of them even passed out drumsticks to all 1700 of us then went to bed around 12am. Sat: wake up at 6, get ready, head to the general session around 8:30 had speakers including drumstick dude. then left for off site workshops my group went to central high school which is the first school to become desegregated. we learned alot about social justice and even met one of the little rock 9. afterwards we all 1700 of us marched to the Capitol building were we prayed and sang, i got hit by glowsticks 3 TIMES none of which i caught. ate dinner went to evening general session listened to speakers then went left to our rooms where me and Beverly watched Bleach. Sun: wake up late, find out that little rock is covered in fog, pack quickly, wait for elevators all of which were full and ended up taking the stairs (i was on the 11th floor). Go to final session listen to speaker, have mass, head back home around 12 get here around 6. So i know that it sounds like it was boring but i couldnt possibly put into words what it was like and i can honestly say that although i use the word speaker alot they werent really speakers but more like people who challanged us to change the world and fight for justice
