Bwar. Thought that I might put in a quality journal entry now and again.
Today: Went shopping in Roseville at the Galleria. Wanted to pick up some clothes for my upcoming internship at the state capitol. Gotta be cuter than last time. My hair has grown out a lot, so maybe that will help.
I still need to go to the intro seminar and find a placement. I need to figure out if I want to work for a state agency, the legislature or perhaps even a lobbying firm. I'm leaning towards the legislature. But from there I need to pick which house, either the assembly or the senate, and then pick a political party. I'm leaning towards this one , more than this one. I'm nervous about being downtown though. Lots of rough patches. I dont want to end up in any sticky situations.
I also want to lose about 10 lbsthis spring. I'm at 123 or so right now. Cheer me on, ne?
Also, I want to give a big thanks to all of those people were kind and generous to me during the holidays. I got lots of pixels to reinforce the treasures and gifts that are your friendships. I hope to connect deeper to you all this year. To find out who you guys really are, and be there for you. I love you guys... I know I don't open up too much to ya'll, but it means a lot to know that I can if I need to.
In other news, my boyfriend went off to Mexico for winter session. He's in Baja, probably enjoying 85 degree weather and snorkling. Hopefully the underwater housing that i got him for his digital camera worked well. Both were expensive, and I'd hate for either to be ruined. Been feeling blue with him gone. Empty and lonely too. I'm trying to get back to my normal attitude.
To pass the time, I've been reading manga online and watching anime online too. I gave up paying for it years ago. My current favorite anime is the ever-thrilling Death Note series, with its handsome characters, great animation and writing. And my favorite manga is Naruto, which is getting especially interesting. I'm also looking forward to the fillers ending. Don't want Naruto to jump the shark more than it already has.
I'm having fun using Fleep's picture format, and I think I'll use it from time to time. He's got a great journal, and if you don't read it, you should.

I have really enjoyed Beta profiles! I love visiting and commenting in random people's profiles. Its fun to find a random user, and through their friends browse through profiles until I can find my own.

It seems like a near impossibility that I will ever come to possess the beautiful Emeraldback Lion mask. I simply do not have the funds, nor the means to make such funds. It makes me depressed to say "I can't." But I really can see no possible way. Rares are simply too rare. Fishers cannot hope to obtain them unless they also have money. It seems unfair that the people most passionate about the masks seem doomed to never obtain them; instead they become items of investment for already wealthy Gaians.
Oh Emeraldback Lion.
It seems the only way for me to get my Emeraldbacks would either be uncommon luck, or the sheer generosity by a number of gaians. It just seems too daunting a task. It's too much to ask of other users to help me out in this endevour. I just love this fish.
If anyone can point me toward a way to make some gold, or point me towards some Emeraldbacks that seem to be in the range of obtainable, please, send me a PM. I don't want to have to beg, but thats the sort of desperation I feel when I think about the futility of accomplishing this goal. And if, for some reason, there is an Emeraldback sitting in your inventory that needs a good home... please consider my plea. I will love it and cherish it.
