A rotary FC soon to be mine, and soon to experience some major upgrades?
A new car soon to be in the mix...
OK, for those of you who don't know, I am recently looking into buying an RX-7 Turbo II from 1990. Manual transmission, preferably in Crystal White.

I have a lot of plans for the car. My biggest plan is to upgrade the car from one turbo to two. (A twin turbo.) I will give each rotor its own turbo, use two remote wastegates connected to two seperate exhaust pipes. (Four in total). I am thinking midsize turbos, though I have not set any real goal yet. I also want to run the turbos off thier own oil setup. That way I can have two different viscosities of oil, one for the motor, the other for the turbos. I am currently not sure if I will run dual intercoolers as well. I probably will.

Why two turbos? Heat considerations mostly. The 13B is a pretty hot engine, so running two TCs should cut down on the overall heat that would be produced by one. A single rotar has about 3 puts per revo, and can go as high as 7.5 x 1000 RPM. It idles at 800, though I can change that if need be. (There should not be a need.) So all in all thats 2400 puts per rotar per minute idling and 22500 puts per rotar per minute redline. I don't know how much exhaust that would generate off the top of my head, and so I am not sure yet how big the turbo should be. However, its similiar to a twin turbo V6. Which has been done ad nauseum. Also, the 13B REW is a TT. So I know the 13B can support TT. I just want to see how big I can make them, while still having pretty good response.

I am also going to be installing a Haltech computer, bigger injectors, and some 3mm Apex seals. There is a whole list of stuff I need to do before I TT it. My final intention is to turn this into a track car, mostly because I will be removing the Cat, so emissions will continue to go down the toilet. I am also going to be working on the suspension. The list is endless, really...

As a track car with twin turbos, intercoolers, and two seperate oil systems it should run pretty cool. Oh, a fluidyne radiator is another consideration. The 13B is a solid engine as long as its kept cool. Well, thats all for now.

Oh, and to all those kids who take perfectly good FCs and put GM 350s or Ford 302s in them, SCREW YOU DUMBASS!!!

Ahem, sorry about that.
