[Rant and ramble] The IKC was SO gay.
That's right, kids! The whole trip seemed like a waste of time and money. rolleyes
On the 27 of July, my mom, my sister, and I went to Long Beach, CA to go to the International Karate Championships. So much has went on there. The 28th was the day the black belt people were competing. Here's all of the bullcrap that went on:
- The people started late. Like always, but this time, it was late like HELL. Also, it was very unorganized. Back in the day when Mr. Parker (Sr.) was alive, it was SO organized, that all the divisions went at the same time.
- There were only 22 small rings in the whole entire ******** convention center. All the people who were competing in the American Kenpo divisions were in the last three. What happened to the 30 people were talking about, eh? There were a lot of black belt people in the divisions, too.
- BIG story, kids! But, I don't remember it too well. :p Well, an instructor in the whole "Williams Kenpo Karate bandwagon" (Har har har.), Mr. Perez, won first place in Self Defense. So, the judges or whoever were like, "OMFG, PPL WHO R GUNNA COMPEET 4 GRAND CHAMPEON GO ON THE DAM STAGE TOMAROW! LOLOLOLROFL!". Alright. So, when he competed for Grand Champion the next day, he won that! Yippy-skippy! So, when he was going to get his trophy (I think), the fools were like, "... Wait... You didn't get Grand Champion.". Then, Mr. Perez's mother was like, "Yes, he did.". The fools reply, "It doesn't say on our records, *Blah blah blah*, can you prove that he won?". There was proof. It was all caught on tape. domokun Also, I've heard that there was this Kung-Fu person that was like, "SHAT, DAWG! HE DIDNT WIN I DID ROFL!!!!!! KENPO SUX LOLX!!!!!"
The fools asked the two to ask some judge or something (I don't know) to fix the error, but ohmygod! They came across the dood who couldn't admit that he lost! He literally couldn't admit his loss when Mr. Perez was talking to him and asking him why did he act like a big fat NOOBLET. domokun Okay, so when they found the judge who was an UNDERBELT along with the other judges. The judge said that they couldn't fix the error, and it was... Permanent... Something like that.
So, my instructor, Ms. Perez, and Mr. Perez were gonna go ask the "Head-Honcho-Big-Nachos" of the IKC about what the hell was going on. So, the security people pushed them all out the door, and My instructor was PEEVED off! gonk That's all what I can remember.
- My mom won first in fighting, but she didn't get enough of a challenge, because the person she was fighting didn't put up a fight at all! BAH! And her opponent claims to be a black belt! </ramble>
- On the next day (The day when Mr. Perez got ripped off), I competed in the brown belt Form/Kata divisions. I'll tell you this. WATERED DOWN KENPO TOOK OVER THE IKC! There were only 4 people (including me) that knew traditional American Kenpo, and in the division, there was like... 15 kids... The rest practiced the watered-down bullcrap. So, when I performed my Long Form 3 of doom-y-doom, I got the LOWEST SCORE in the whole entire division. I was like, "No, man." I showed a lot of power, fluidity, etc. in my form (I have it on tape.) The two of the three other actual traditional Kenpo students placed RIGHT above me (the other one luckly placed in third). The other rascals who placed above us didn't show power, their stances were all the way disgusting, it didn't flow, or it looked COMPLETELY different. The person who won second was some kid who spoke Spanish (Blabityblabyblabblab gimmie second place ********). Oh... FIRST PLACE PERSON WAS A TOTAL LOSER. She stood in a horse stance the whole entire damn time, and didn't show any power. She just did her form lazily and won FIRST. I can't believe it, and neither did the other people who did traditional Kenpo. The judges were watered down fools. But, my instructor and everyone else who was in my school said I did very well, and they (Kinda) agreed on the fact that the judges didn't know what they were thinking and stuff.
The lesson for today!
