Cheshire's Delusions
Just random entries about me, my life, and my art.
Part 1 Platinum Nuzlocke: The First Badge
Keeping this pretty basic. I'll add flavor later.

Started with Piplup. Nicknamed Pengu.

First battle with Rival (named Spaz) ended in success with no help from Turtwig being annoying with Withdraw.

Made it to Sandgem. Bough five Pokeballs. No more from this store.

Encountered first Pokémon. ... Damnit, Bidoof. Captured Bidoof. Nicknamed Tard. Level 2 male.

Went back to Verity Lakefront. Encountered Starly. Level 2 Female. Captured. Nicknamed Lia.

Headed back to town to tell "Mom" I'll be going away.

Leveling up Pokémon to decent levels.

Lia levels up a few times in trainer battles. Learns Wing Attack and Double Team.

Route 204 new Pokémon! Abra! Threw Pokeball immediately and by a miracle, Abra was caught! Male, level 4. Nickname Mage.

Oreburgh Gate Pokémon encounter! First encounter was a Psyduck. Female, level 5. Threw Pokéball, caught. Nicknamed Daisy.

Oreburgh Mine Pokémon encounter! First encounter was a Geodude. Male. Level 6. Caught. Nicknamed Disco Stu.

To the gym! Yeah!

Fought the Gym Leader with Tard. Switched to Pengu to give Tard some exp when Cranidos came up. Cranidos used Pursuit, killing poor Tard. Finished Cranidos with Pengu's bubble.

Platinum Nuzlocke Challenge Journal
You may be asking, what is a Nuzlocke Challenge? It is this. These are the rules I am adhering by.

If any of my party Pokémon faint, they are considered dead and may no longer be used.

I may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances. This also means no legendaries for the most part, as most legendaries are found in an area with Pokémon before the encounter.

I must nickname all Pokémon I catch. (I do this anyway)

Adjusting the first encounter rule to ban duplicate captures.
Considering a black out/white out to be "game over," even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
Limiting the number of Poké Balls to purchase per Poké Mart to five.
Banning the use of Master Balls.
