ok this anime we're talking about is fairly new and one of the best. if you have direct tv you cant watch this every saturday at 1:00 am! its about two brothers working together and risking their lives to get their bodies back and along the way they make enemies and friends!! when they were young they were young (about 10 and 9) alphonse (younger brother) and edward (eldest brother) were left alone with no one. their mother died and their father abandoned them when alphonse was only a baby. alchemy is one of the most powerful and dangerous sources in their world. it even said that they could bring the dead back to life. but they were terribly wrong. they tried human transmutation. a forbidden source of alchemy. alphonse lost his life and edward his leg. but edward gave up his arm in return for his brothers soul wich he linked to a suit of armor. edwards arm and leg were replaced with mechanical limbs called automail wich their neighbor -winry rockbell - made. edward goes out on a search for the legendary philosopher stone. the stone which can defy the rules of alchemy.equivelent exchange. edward must become a state alchemist in order to research the stone. alphonse and many other friends help him along the way the get the elric brothers their bodies back
